Liverpool will face increasing competition to land Javier Pastore as Roma and Lyon are also chasing the Paris St-Germain playmaker.
talkSPORT told you last month that Liverpool are monitoring the Argentina international, who not been a first-team regular in Paris this term.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers unsuccessfully tried to land Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Willian in the summer and could be on the hunt for a new creative midfielder as he bids to strengthen his side's push for a top-four finish.
But a string of sides are keen on Pastore, with sources in Italy claiming Roma chiefs have already met with the 24-year-old to sound him out over a move.
Pastore initially came to prominence during an impressive two-season stint at Palermo and he is still highly rated in Italy.
But he could still remain in Ligue 1 if he leaves PSG as Lyon are also monitoring his situation.

"As I already said, I was the first to choose this club and I will be the last one to leave it.

"I will fight to do well in the PSG. I know there are many players in my role, but I fight for a place without losing my head."

On a possible return to Serie A, he said: "In order to meet my friends, yes, but nothing more."[/article]
