I bet a good few got flights etc as Christmas presents too.

I think I'll try get over for the Wolves mid week game at end of Feb. Mid week might be easier to get tickets.

I think this is one of the three games a season where you need hardly any credit on your fan card, so lots of people who normally don't get a chance get tickets. Maybe it's because lots got some, lots decided it would be easy, or because it's been three weeks since our last home game, or because it's Saturday at three o'clock, or because we're top of the league, but it's been nuts. All sorted now anyways. I promised my pair out drunk to two different people and forgot about it. Then I thought it would be easy to solve with it only being Palace. Thought wrong. Pairs we're going for five hundred quid off touts, and no-one I knew had any, but I got this one off a mate and swapped it with another. I didn't end up going to the arsenal game because of similar bollocks, but I've got a ticket today.
 
Keita had a year to learn English in Leipzig. Very surprised he didn't bother, and that's a bit of a worry really

I reckon we will probably see the best of him next season, but let's call it as it is. He's been disappointing. It's not "unfair", regardless of one great pass months ago against Crystal Palace or whoever it was.

What are you on about Mark ? We were discussing his language ability. No surprise either to see Fabio Liking a post that makes no sense.

We don't really know how good his English is, however everyone describes him as a 'quiet lad' so it's no surprise then to hear that he doesn't speak in public whatever English he has learnt. Not everyone is a natural born linguist, I've seen people live here for 20 years and yet are hardly able to speak a few sentences in Chinese despite having had lessons ! Yes it could be a worry long term I just find it strange (maybe not on 6CM) that people are using it as a stick to beat him with. I think his German is OK right ? So I assume it's not like he won't learn eventually.

If you don't think an ability to communicate with his team mates has had an impact on the pitch then whatevs.

Nice to see you bringing me up unprovoked as well.
 
I remember trying to speak the German they spoke in the Rhein area in Austria and being looked at like I was speaking Welsh round here

When I was in Germany some random woman came up to me and started talking to me. I said I don't speak German and she said to me in English "don't trust what he says, he's always lying" and walked off.

Even the nutters in Germany can speak English, puts us to shame.
 
Bit worried about Zaha with no TAA for this match.

If we have a fit CB to put in it may be a shout to put Fabinho in at full back. I seem to remember reading he'd played there before, but could be mistaken.

I worry if Milner is there he'll be massively exposed & it'll disrupt the back four too much.

I think we should score three early goals and then not have to worry about it. We need a bit more from Mane. Hopefully he scores today.

Ha. It may end up three nil, but they're very good at not conceding so it'll probably be a tight affair unless we do bang an early one in I reckon.
 
I wonder if we'll see Salah dropping deeper to receive the ball and then run at Palace's defence?

He was very effective against Brighton doing that.

I was in Berlin on a piss up weekend. I was looking for a sports bar that showed the premier league matches as we were away to Newcastle (the one where Owen took the piss). I asked some random bird, who was fit, where would show it trying to remember as much GCSE german as I could. Straight out she told me her English was better than my German. She told me about this Irish bar but it was always full of tourists. I had to point out I was a tourist.

I get to the bar and it was me and my mate surrounded by about 2 dozen geordies. We battered them but they were sound about it and ended up on a 10 hour sesh with them all.
