Other weekend games.

I think Everton are too far back. It's 11 points with a game in hand and inferior GD. We should be getting AT LEAST 19-20 points from last ten, leaving Everton needing almost all wins. I want Spurs to beat Chelsea, although a draw would be great too. If we win the same weekend we're two more away from Spurs and overtaking Chelsea would be in our own hands. I think we're in a strong position for top 4, but we need to secure it ASAP. With Chelsea hosting Spurs and Arsenal hosting City and Chelsea March could be a huge month. The game at Old Trafford is massive in my opinion. Win that and we are in great shape. A team looking to finish 3rd or 4th (nevermind win the league) can't be dropping points at Cardiff when they're in this form or home to Sunderland at all. If we win at OT and those games we'll be in an amazing position. We overcame a massive test at a difficult ground at the weekend and are grinding out some very good results. We are in with a very good shout. It's fucking great to be able to say that in March.

sometimes I thought it is good that Spurs are right behind us so that we as a team wont gt carried away but now is the time to create the gap and push further.

Chavs Spurs draw will be ideal.

A OT win for us is a must. Lets condemn the Scummers to hopelessness and kill off any ambition that they have left of this season. That will be sweet!

My worry is that a victory for us at Old Toilet will push them over the edge and they'll sack Moyes. Ahh well.

Its unlikely, Alex himself said that they need to give Moyes time and be patient. They may reconsider in the summer but until then I'm hoping he gets a bit of a winning run after we beat them. It would be aces if they retain Moyes for next season with a rumoured 200M warchest.

1. Don't be ridiculous. What do they have left to fight for and who would they replace him with fire the rest of the season?

2. I would love it if we got Man Utd 's manager sacked.

Dint we effectively get big Ron the sack? They started the season with 12 straight victories (or similar) and were on the path to win the league for the first time in 20 odd years, then we won it & he got ditched for the evil soul seller

Or is my aged memory playing tricks?

1. I don't like my posts being answered in numbered points.

2. If we gave Utd some Spurs' style destruction it isn't so 'ridiculous' that the emotions it would cause would be so negative as to lead to Moyes' dismissal (cf. AVB)

2.b I would normally love it if we got ManU's manager sacked, but when Moyes is doing such an ace job, it would be a Pyrrhic victory.

What happened to 2.a?

I want Chelsea and Spurs to draw. 2 points on both teams if we win against the Mancs

a) Who would they replace him with? They would want to be dead sure about the next guy, interview a few big names, consult their legends, fans, must have Rooney's approval and all that. There will be more better managers available after in the summer and after the World Cup. If they sack him now they'll have to appoint a caretaker - which is always shit move.
c) If Moyes was going to be sacked, he'll be sacked because he's shit, not because they lost to us 5-1. If the Glazers are moving in that direction, he'll be gone whatever we do. We might as well be the one that benefits from his shitness.

Didnt Fergie just say in an interview that Moyes will be fine and needed time? Doesnt sound like a man who could be on the verge of getting sacked. I think he'll still be in charge after the game against us and probably into next season aswell.
