Also I'm not writing shit to get attention. I just think it's stupid for us to start taunting them when they're the ones closest to getting something from this season.

Getting to the CL quarters puts us much more on the radar of quality prospective signings than an FA Cup S/F ever will.

It also generates much more direct and indirect revenue.

Trophies are great - and I'd certainly prefer to be winning them all.... but a choice of CL Q/F or FA Cup S/F... really is a no-brainer.

He complimented him by first telling him that it was his worst game ever, but at least he kept on trying and kept his position, balance and didnt fuck up in defence. A lovely pat on the back there.

It was as he used to show why Shaw is awful in his eyes. It was as positive a comment you could ask for from your manager after having a shite game.

Yes, and that approach has worked wonders for Mourinho when developing young players...... About zero of them

That wasn't the point you made. You said he hung him out to dry. He didn't. He praised him for how he handled having a poor game.

He also hung him out to dry by stating he played the worst game ever in his career for Utd. As if Klopp or any other manager known for developing young players would do the same.

Your attitude towards Mourinho is very weird.

Yeah, imagine you're a young player just broke into the first team and the manager said you were terrible - when you won! - only to turn around and say at least you tried hard. He threw him under that bus he likes to park. Man's a cunt. If he played well, he would'v taken all the credit like that time Shaw did well, only for him to turn around and say that he made every decision for him. Twat.

He didn't have to mention McTominay at all in the press, instead he went out of his way to give him some backhanded compliment. No need.

Modo not only do you not actually read what you write but seemingly you don't read what others write either...

The joy of footy is watching your team win, we just won, and won fucking well at a canter but somehow this doesn't please you to drag you away from moaning?

and although most of us would accept that it's more likely that United have a bigger chance of winning the FA cup than we do winning the CL but then I personally would rather have a smaller chance of a bigger trophy with genuinely thrilling competition to play against.

And it is NEVER stupid to taunt the enemy... unless it's just before a game against them and you directly tweak the nose of the football Gods...

All I'm really saying is... Cheer the fuck up pal.

Pay more attention to the game and you might notice that in fact we are pretty fucking nifty and fun to watch.

Spurs meet scums in the FA semi. I hope the Scums will be knocked out. And I love to see further melt down from the scum's fans

Perfect scenario would be for Spurs to beat scum, and then Southampton to beat spurs in the final. If some deity grants me that I would consider visiting church/chapel/mosque/synagogue/pagan altar to offer my thanks

Om the other hand, Chelsea heading to final can make Conte switch focus last weeks of the league as he can win another trophy before he heads home.

Yeah, I mean it's as hard to win the FA Cup, as it is to win the CL. Have a look at the big English clubs and their respective domestic and European success ratios. Do the math. You're the one pining for a manager who last won something with us over a decade ago, yet you ridiculed the whole nostalgia surrounding the return of Dalglish.

Modo has a point. We could go out to City and then where would we be. We've gotten nowhere yet. We aren't even in the semis yet

It's not a FA v CL debate.

Dalglish coming back is not comparable to Benny coming back. Also I didn't ridicule the nostalgia, I ridiculed his management. I mean come on Carroll, Downing and Adam?

Kenny came back when we were at the brick of full collapse. He came in and set the fans apiece, gave People something to gather around and unified us again. Maybe he couldn't take us to the glory again, but he certainly could balance the situation when it was critical. So spouting shit about when Kenny came is a disgrace. I get it that you are miserable about something (have no Clue what it is) but you are such a depressing factor at a moment when Things look really positive for the Club. Ok we are not guaranteed a CL triumph this season, but noone is at the moment. And I would 10 times more be invovled in the hunt for the CL title than won the League Cup or even be in the hunt for the FA cup at the moment.

Exactly my point.
Well that wasn't really your point at all was it ? You'd rather we be in the semis of some (now) petty and almost irrelevant (esp. judging by how the big clubs treat the early rounds) regional cup than in the final eight of the world's greatest club competition. The FAC was relevant for 100 years, it's pretty much a bit part player now.

Personally I'd rather we were highly visible on the world stage than a small time actor in a regional theatre production.

So you're telling me what my point was...I wasn't the one who changed the narrative.

Who changed it is irrelevant .... you were the one banging on about FAC over CL .. unless I have my posters mixed up and I can't be arsed going back to check. You'll let me know I'm sure.
What I wrote was: "They can still end up with a trophy this season. Our chances of doing the same is between slim and none."

That's when someone wrote, "you'd rather be in the Fa cup than the CL?".

That's not my point, the point is just like Hyena said, we have Man City standing in our way, while we're laughing at Man U for getting knocked out.
At the same time they're in the FA cup semi's playing Spurs without Kane.
So, what's chances that we get knocked out and they end up with a trophy this season? I'd say that it's waaaaay bigger than the opposite.

If you're gonna pride yourself in us getting to quarters of the CL while Man U gets to lift a trophy then to each his own.

There should be a rule for Modo. Play a video game instead of watching LFC, then be banned from commenting on LFC until the next game.
Fucking tiresome bollocks without even watching anything.

We get it Modo. You'd far rather be a big fish in a small pond and aspire to SFA.
