Other Clubs Transfer Stuff

How can they agree personal terms if it's illegal to talk to players before they clubs? Soton cunts. Arsenal need to release a full apology for this scandal.

Another big payday for Mino Raiola if Romelu Lukaku goes to Manchester United. Stands to make about £10m. Less if Lukaku chooses Chelsea.

This is whats wrong with football. At least one part. An agent fee should be a set fee, imho.
The amounts being paid out these days in agent fees is insane.

Alexis Sanchez agrees terms with city according to the metro.

Probably a load of shite too

If Lukaku REALLY was that bothered about going to Chelsea then he would have gone there. Fact hes' been all chummy with Pogba this week says to me his mind was already made up about where he was going.

He's gone where he's been told to go, IMO. United pay higher agents fees. There's no other reason for him to go and play for United over Chelsea for a manger that has previously binned him off.

Maybe wages / bonuses / image rights / whatever at Utd amounted to far more.

If he wasn't that into going to Utd, he could've just sacked his agent and gone to Chelsea - surely not a big deal.

Lol yeah right like the agent has that power over him. He's going to manure because he wants to. He's best mates with Pogba and i'm sure they're going to pay him a shitload. Money talks.

Nail on the head.

Some very weird opinions on here regarding this. Like Lukaku couldnt just tell Raiola (who WORKS FOR HIM) where he wanted to go.

Raiola "sold" 3 players to Utd last season. The agent fees and connection obviously plays it part.

We will see in 3 years time. If Lukaku is engineering another move then I'd be inclined to say Raiola is behind it. Look at the guys he manages. Ibra Pogba Lukaku Mhiktaryian Balotelli. Every one of them is moved on after 2/3 seasons to keep the transfer fees rolling in.

This. He's a silver-tongued devil.

Im not suggesting that the agent isnt keen on pushing a move.
Im saying there is no way IF the player prefered Chelsea as a destination that he would end up at United because the agent will earn more out of sending him there.
Its fucking retarded. If Lukaku goes United thats his choice.

Raiola WORKS for the player.

Yes. The agent advised the player to leave. The player (the agents boss) slapped the agent down and re-signed.
Whats your point?

More like the player's dad slapped some sense into the player who then slapped the agent. Pretty much a three stooges bit.

I think a majority of players don't give a fuck where they go, as long as they get paid. If a player just wants a payday, the agent is obviously going to milk it

Also, isn't it mad that players from other teams can tap up?

Lukaku has been on holiday with pogba, and pogba is hashtagging himself as #agentp

Fucking mad

So Pogba will get 10% of the 75m for Lukaku and Raiola will get 10% of that 7.5m as Pogbas agent.
Clever.Clever.

Some players are a lot more impressionable and can be manipulated. It's not cut and dry. I don't think there's a huge preference either way for Lukaku but it's in his agents interest for him to go to United. London is more desirable to live than Manchester. Chelsea are streets ahead of United on the pitch. Some agents have an immense amount of power as Neves going to the Championship demonstrates and there's countless other examples.

And Raiola will also get 30% as Lukaku's agent and 20% for his side agreement with United - might as well just give him the damn lot and write it off against tax.

Im unconvinced these are the quotes of a man who would have prefered Chelsea.

Maybe im wrong.
But also im not.

So its just a coincidence that Raiola has "sold" 4 players to Utd now in the last year?
It was reported that the deal to Chelsea had stalled and Raiola contacted Utd and told them a deal could be done.

Now, I dont really give a shite where Lukaku goes but the point was that agents like Raiola and Mendes shouldnt be anywhere near football. Their influence is massive it seems. The fees are crazy, and most of the money could and should be spent elsewhere;

The amount paid by English clubs to agents has risen by 38% in a year - up from £160m to £220m.

The Premier League paid £174m to agents, up from £130m, with Manchester City being the biggest spenders (£26.3m) ahead of Chelsea (£25.1m) and Manchester United (£19m).

England's second tier, the Championship, spent £42.4m on agents, an increase of 62%.

So what you are suggesting is that Lukaku wanted to go to Chelsea, but his agent refused their offer to EVERTON, because he wasnt getting a big enough cut and Lukaku just said ok, i'll go united?

Wise up ffs.
