Sadly true.

Best case scenario would've been PSG accepting that 170m for Mbappe and try getting Haaland in summer for 70-80m.

Now that City cried about now getting Kane, you just know Pep gonna go sticking his dick up the SHeik's bottom begging to get Haaland and I think they will.

Haaland's dad played for City, and they didn't land Kane... Madrid won't be able to get Haaland and Mbappe in one window, surely.

In my mind he's nailed on for Man City and will secure them titles for fucking decades. He's ridiculous.

We're in need of a striker and Klopp is the best manager around. We'll have a great chance of getting him.

We have zero chance of getting him. Haaland's wage demands are going to be absurd, in the Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe bracket of 700k+ a month. There are like 4 clubs on the planet who can pay that much, and we're not one of them.

Think you and I have an entirely different definition of what the word "great" means.

In this context I'd say our chances are minimal to zero.

First thing you ask yourself is what wages will he be demanding and the answer is 2x what our highest paid player is currently on.

The wages will be the major obstacle, obviously. But it depends on where he wants to play. Going by his career so far he'll have a clear vision regarding that. The massive red flag is Raiola and what influence he might have and a potential 20 mill £ agent commission.
The potential 66 mill £ fee is doable.

We all have different views about what might work and not work in regards to future transfers. The rumours from the journos over here is that we're one of the places he might want to go and is considering.

Y'all can have your views about Haaland and potential clubs, and I'll dream about having the best Norwegian since sliced toast in our team.
The let down will be big, but fuck that, still want it to happen.

Try doubling that agent fee. Riola will want a minimum £40 million to broker any deal.

We said Chelsea wouldn't buy Havertz and Werner in the same window. They did, and Ziyech too.

You wouldn't have thought City had space for Grealish, but they bought him.

You wouldn't have thought United had money left after Sancho. They did.

You wouldn't think Real would bid 100m for an out of contract player. They did.

It would be ten percent of our current wage bill, which is a lot for one player but I think we could do it were we to shift a high earner or two out.

Yeah, but the knock-on effect on other salaries. Haaland salary will become the baseline for future contract negotiations.

Wait, does this mean, @Rosco and @Hansern almost agree on one point?

Belgium losing to Estonia.

1-1 now.

Northern Ireland winning and England stinking the place out in Budapest.

Sterling puts Inguuuuuuurland 1 up.

Plastic cups being pelted vigourously by the Hungarians.

Good link up between Grealish and Mount on the left.

Kane 2-0 and game over.

Too easy that, Sterling on the right puts a simple ball in and Kane gets the header before the keeper comes out.
