I WISH i was as optimistic as you for this competition ... but we've put our destiny in our hands for one game, and then Lyon-Fiorentina in another ... Odds are not in our favor.
 
We must win both games, and hope Lyon beat Fio away. And we should try to beat Fio by more than 2 goals as it will go down to the head to head vs Fio.

Yes we've had a lot of injuries but shit happens. You are treating the team like it's a retarded child that should get praise for good effort.

We would have destroyed Lyon any other year. Why bring even bother putting Aquilani on the plane? Isn't the point of him that he has an eye for a pass and has goal threat? More importantly why can't our defense just fucking focus and put the game to bed?
 
we need Fiorentina and Lyon to draw or Lyon to win but they wont put in the effort and it's a poor team that should lose in italy

Come on, though: Fiorentina are not a particularly good side. Lyon and us should beat them. So long as Lyon TRY, they should win. I don't see where the 'we need an upset' line is coming from.
 
doesn't look good. flor are at home, are a very accomplised team, will be full of confidence put so many goals past the whipping boys and lyon have nothing to play for...
 
Lyon have a lot of injuries to contend with and no real incentive to go all out for a win in Italy. That's why.

fiorentina will win in florence lyon are a poor team this year and we are worse than them 😱
 
I dont understand WHY he didnt play Aquilani after 70 minutes of backwards and sideways passing, it's ASKING for trouble

never saw our late goal coming and we shouldn't have crumbled so easily but Zorba is not a CL player, put that defence under pressure and you can get something
