Yeah lowest points tally of any Everton team in any Season, thats really good innit!
I don't like the fecker any more than you do, but he's got that bunch of junkyard dogs playing far better than anyone would have predicted and made some smart signings to help them along.

We deserved it like?
Unquestionably. Even with ten men we not only outplayed but outbattled them (which hasn't always been the case in previous derby games even though we keep winning them), and we did it despite Fellaini richly deserving a sending-off and Pienaar also staying on the field about three times as long as he should have.

Moyes has done a superb job. Look at where Everton were every year before he did. Guaranteed Relegation dogfight.

They have finished in the top half in 5/7 seasons under him.

Still a twat though.

Since Rafa has been in charge, have we taken more points off of Neverton than any other PL side?
Do you mean have we taken more from Everton than we have in games against any other teams or have we taken more from Everton than any other teams have done in games against them?

If the former, no I think we have taken more off Bolton. If the latter, I have no idea, but probably not

Ah okay. In that case I think Arsenal have. They have certainly handed out some extremely heavy beatings to Everton. United can't be far off either.

can't be bothered to start a 'Caption Thread' but it's a cool pic seeing Dirk sitting down in mid air:

I just got this text about Evertons 'fantastic' manager

David Moyes

Fact 1; Has not beat any of the so called big 4 away from home in 43 attempts in the league.

Fact 2; In 16 league derbies whilst been in charge, out of a possible 48 points, has amassed a Colossal 10 points (2 wins,4 draws,10 defeats)

Fact 3; In charge of a Everton team that recorded it's lowest points tally in any Season in any Division in their Illustrious history (if you know your history)

Fact 4; Since their Illustrious history started, Everton have won a trophy in every decade of there history, with the exception of the Noughties 2000-2009,
Moyes came in March 2002.

Fact 5; Lost more derby league games than any other Everton Manager (with the exception of Will Cuff who managed Everton for 17 years,he lost 11)

Fact 6; Has never won a trophy of any note during his glittering Managerial career

Fact 7; Had no money ? He has broken Everton's transfer record 4 times in his time in charge
If they think they can get a better manager than Moyes on a Tesco budget, they're kidding themselves. He's done really well there - derbies apart.
Where is the 'tesco budget'?

Moyes has spent over 100 Million Quid on Everton in his tenure there.

this myth of them having zero cash is a bleedin joke!

They don't spend as much as any of the clubs currently above them. It's fair to say they've often punched above their weight given the players they have.

I'd say yes he did. Worryingly.

I posted that at halftime, a half in which he'd done fuck all except drop Zorba right in the shit and helped get him sent off

So what's your problem?

Almost any manager that has been at a premiership club since 2002 will have smashed their transfer records and wage bills. During that time wages have doubled, and revenues have skyrocketed from the new TV deals. This has also meant that transfer fees have increased massively.

Moyes hasn't been spectacular, but his teams at their best, which he hasn't been afforded much money to improve on, have been quite good.

He's consistently had them there or there abouts around the UEFA Cup places (bar the odd blip). He's signed good players and put together a tidy squad with some good attacking players. Whatever is listed on that post, he's still taken them away from the relegation zone that threatened them for practically a decade before he took control.

He might be a cock but you're talking shite, again.

I'm told their starting lineup on Sat cost £3m more than ours. So I'm informed but I really can't be arsed working out if its true or not

That doesn't really mean much given we had a £20m Italian on the bench and a £20m Spaniard and a £18m English full-back in the treatment room. Not to mention a recently purchased £20m Irishman who is now playing in the Scottish league.

It does when we beat them with 10 men.

Well it does if they're not playing in the game. Trust me Bunny, blueshites take great pleasure in reminding us how much money we've spent on players. And they have a point. But it's also a fair point to say they've also spent a fair bit whilst crying poverty.

Although, I'm really not that arsed. It was just an interesting snippet I heard. Which I've no idea is true or not.

I can't recall many other league derby wins that have given me so much pleasure as Saturdays did. Down to 10 men in a proper physical battle, and we still managed to win quite comfortably.

Same here Sunny.

Anyone notice how Cahill was acting all friendly with our lads during the match?
I did.

The cunt.

Was he trying to sell them lucky heather ?

Moyes' tactics post the sending off on Saturday were staggeringly inept. It was as if he, and they, can't handle the pressure that came with being the team having to take charge.

Yeah, no other manager has ever struggled tactically when given the advantage of having an extra man in a football match
