Yeah, no other manager has ever struggled tactically when given the advantage of having an extra man in a football match

Why are you acting like such a dullard these days?

Fair point but I really felt it seemed as if it was Everton that had 10 men at times. There's been unable to take advantage of the extra man but completely capitulating is seldom seen.

Everton fans are deluded about their team. One recently claimed Liverpool would only get 3 in a merseyside 11. Another claimed all of their defenders are better than ours. Its painful.

Based on fully fit squads only Arteta and Baines would play.

Most of them say that only Reina, Gerrard and Torres are getting in and Moyes is easily the superior manager.

The one that annoys me is that every Evertonian thinks our defence is shit, the same defence that prior to this season had the most clean sheets season after season, but they are nowhere near Jagielka and co.

Every Evertonian I know says Moyes is very weak tactically. I hear the grumbles frequently.

A look at the record against the bigger teams suggests they have a point. He's a good buyer though and has made some crafty loan deals in recent years, which has given them sufficient quality to do well under his guidance.

I doubt the bluenoses will have a better manager for a long time.

Radio Merseyside football phone in last night was comedy gold.

First Evertonian came on and tried to claim that Dirk Kuyt pushed Howard into the net so the goal shouldn’t have stood.

Another came on saying Pienaars on Mascher wasn’t a red card as it was a “strikers tackle†so he should have been given a bit of leeway.

And the best was that we are now the dogs of war, and we turned it into a battle to stop them playing football as they are the better Footballing side. An exact quote was “watching that cheat Gerrard and Lucas in the middle, was like watching Barry Horne and Joe Parkinson for us back in the 90’sâ€!

Ha!

It's called "mirroring". It helps me to read and respond to your posts without wanting to eat my own eyeballs.

Yeah lowest points tally of any Everton team in any Season, thats really good innit!
He's consistently had them there or there abouts around the UEFA Cup places (bar the odd blip). He's signed good players and put together a tidy squad with some good attacking players. Whatever is listed on that post, he's still taken them away from the relegation zone that threatened them for practically a decade before he took control.

He might be a cock but you're talking shite, again.
Talking shite again?

Fuck you knob

Lots of "shite", "cock"s and "knob"s and "fuck" in very close proximity between you two.

Reading between the lines, I'd say you want to bum eachother into madness.

I don't know whether it's a Liverpool-thing but people does tend to overrate Everton and the manager on here in my opinion.

This one poster Larry Hagman I reckon it was, even said before the derby-game that Evertons best XI were better than our best XI. Or something extremely daft in that mould.

Moyes has done ok I reckon but the fact of the matter is they are still not anywhere near a force to be reckoned with and it's not like they aren't spending any money themselves.

Truth to be said they played awful against us on Saturday even when playing 11 against 10. Their manager has got to take a lot of the blame really.

Just as ours would've, had we played as bad.

Dear khl,

Hmmmmm ?

I'm not sure I'm quite following?

Anyways I was preparing a broth whilst watching the game - boeuf a la bourguignon - for a bunch of guests later on whilst screaming and kicking at the telly, cursing the ref and the bluenoses.

I can't multitask so I had to stay away from 6CM. I was to angry anyways to come up with anything useful untill Kuyt scored.

A mate of mine was at the game on saturday, and he said that one of the things he noticed was how the Anfield crowd had changed their opinion about Lucas.

He was one of the players the Kop cheered the loudest for and the fans seemed to think quite highely of him.

The taxi driver who drove them around the city, said that he tought Lucas had won over many of the fans, and that they now thought he could become a good player.

Just thought I'd share, it kind of contradicts what many of the posters on here thinks.

Angling for a move? 😉

There's no time for that.

Get busy inventing the knife-wielding corner flag.
The Anfield crowd were indeed very positive about Lucas. They were very negative about Babel.
And rightly so. Lucas is everything Babel lacks.
I like Lucas.

They gave Lucas easy praise at times, there were things other players did and got no real recognition then Lucas did it and they were like proud mothers.

It's easy to assume that many posters on here dislike Lucas, simply because the most vocal poster hates him.

I think you will find that Lucas has many more supporters on SCM than is apparent. cf Insua poll.
