I think CB is a role where PL experience is the most important. Are there many big money imports to CB who have succeeded? There are those who came in young and went on to flourish e.g. Kompany. Almost all of the Top 10 / 20 CBs have learned the trade here. Surprised that Pep keeps going overseas (although maybe he's been forced to do so by the Stones failure).

Well Dias is only 23, so the hope for them is that he will adapt quickly and develop into a top CB.

And there are quite a few imports to have done well - Hyypia comes to mind, think he was 26 when we signed him. Carvalho is another - he was 26 too when Chelsea signed him. Vidic another - 25 when United signed him.

Yes - some great examples actually and I hugely rated Carvalho (i thought he was the brains to Terry's brawn)

That doesn't sound right. They've got Sane, Coman, Muller, Gnabry in attack already. They no longer seem to need him and he'll just be in the same position he's in at Chelsea.

Sane is injured. They are also linked with Lemar on loan.
 
There was talk on the football weekly podcast that they are short of fit midfielders, especially with the frequency of the games.

Just read that the option to buy is non-obligatory. Can't see them signing him eventually. 2 years younger than Kane. Doubt they will spend that kind of money unless he's gonna be a starter. Of course, that may change if he truly impress.
