Patrick Dorgu, 18, LB, Lecce

Our scouting department seems to work as we wanted to sign this kid in the Summer for our U23 team, which I guess he kinda rejected as he’s now getting minutes in the Serie A.

He has scored one of the most brilliant goals I’ve seen at Int. Youth level for Denmark (u17) as he skipped past 4-5 players in a Zlatan-like frenzy. Has scored a slightly similar goal for Lecce’s Primavera-team last term as they won the Italian Youth-league.

As far as left-backs come I doubt we’ll see many as skilled as Dorgu in the coming years. Strong, powerful and fast too. Really got high hopes for this kid.

Foden is good, but not close to the vision and passing of De Bruyne.

True, but he doesn't need to be. Foden can take the ball on the half turn better than anyone, has high technical ability, and can present enough chances to Haaland, which usually is enough.

If City can continue to supply the ball to Foden close to goal in the ten position, I see no reason why City cannot remain equally effective.

I agree with the first part on Foden - he is excellent at turning and going past, but finding Haaland, maybe. Haaland has excellent movement, so that might be if they develop a better understanding.

Steidten signing Kudus to West Ham and now after En-Nesyri. Looks like a perfect fit for that West Ham team.
Weird how a good sporting director can improve you....

Thank god the Saudi have entered this industry to raise the outrageously low wages and improve destitute lives of these underpaid workers so they can finally provide for their families
Drole... and misses the point by about a mile or so.

Yeah, can’t quite wrap my head around that 1.

He’s not gonna be playing in Saudi for more than a few years so it’ll be interesting to see if there is any route back for him to Europe when he’s 24/25 or where his career goes from there.

No ambition what so ever.

For some young players it is now a chance to live near, play with and/or against some of the best players they will have watched growing up. The roster of worldies in Saudi is now crazy and I think that will draw a few younger players in even if they only see it as a 2 season gig.
