Me. He's a Liverpool player that cant play. I dont want it ALL and i dont want it NOW but if your a forward playing for Liverpool then you should by all means be a decent fucking player. I don't really have a problem with him as he is way down the pecking order and we can do nothing about the situation until the next transfer window. in the summer he should be loaned out (to see if he has a miraculous improvement) then kuyt should become third choice striker.

It's not even a struggle. It's not non existant la. He adds fuck all to the team other than fucking up every chance and pretending he's got cramp. That fucked me off that at the end when their keeper was joining in with his 'oh i've fucked up AGAIN i know i'll blag a cramp or injury like Maxi' act. Twat. Ugly twat.

So you dont mind or feel strongly abaa a shite player in our team as long as they're low down the pecking order?

pretty much. my concern is the first team and first choice players especially when we're not in a position to do anything about it. for instance I hated insua because he was FIRST CHOICE.

Ngog is wank but has outscored every other forward at the club bar Kuyt despite the fact that he has to play alone upfront and that's not his strength. Let's not forget that he is on low wages too.

Maxi, Joe Cole and Jova are all worse than him and should be out the door first. Joe Cole is the prodigy that never was. He can still make it but its hardly likely. Doesnt look like he has the will power and mental strength. He is a porker much like Nasri but nowhere near as good. Maxi "hides underground with the bunnies" when playing and Jova is the quickest and wankest of the lot.

exactly. and as someone who watches the reserves it's not like he is standing in the way of a kid (striker) who is scoring for fun at youth level.

That attitude is wrong on so many levels. It's because we have crap like N'Gog as a reserve striker that we struggle to overcome the loss of 1st team players to injury or whatever. Whether 2nd or 3rd striker we need better. I'd rather our reserve or youth team players get a game ... at least they're fast.

Are Maxi & Cole CFs now ?! That's a ridiculous comparison. Jova hasn't been given a chance at CF even though that's his preferred position ... and he is a damn sight stronger and better in possession than N'Gog ... and probably faster too.

He can't be that bad, he's got the same amount of league goals as Defoe and Crouch combined this season. 😉
 
He's not first choice back up striker now - he's third/fourth choice, which I think explains peoples relaxed attitude towards him.

Is he still good enough for that role? I don't think so, but as said previously, we've got more pressing issues to be dealing with.
 
Ngog is a striker who gets no support granted that he is average. Playing alone upfront is never gonna work out. He needs support. His is the only position not blocking the path of any of our talented youngsters.

Joe Cole by his own admission is a no. 10 who has played mostly on the wing. That's the only position where is likely to get game time. He has much to prove. Reputation counts for nothing and neither has his performances if you can actually call them that. Let's see what he can do when match fit. I'm holding out that he'll come good.

Jova is wank regardless of where he plays and he is a non scoring striker. He may be stronger and faster than Ngog but that's all he has in his locker! Lacks game intelligence.

Maxi is the quintessential invisible man. He turns up every now and then with the odd brilliant goal but is absent most of the time.

Cole, Jova and Maxi are liabilities and handicap us whenever they're on the field. They'll have to really step up big time if they want to save their Liverpool careers.

Personally, I'd flog the whole lot because they're simply not good enough!
 
The whole 'he's third choice so it's ok if he's gash' arguement is part of the reason were in a slump. Zero strength in depth.

It's not good enough for this club, he's not good enough for this club
 
Actually I can sympathies or him a bit, must e no fun ring relies upon to score when you're playing with a top Many average players

Maybe my expectations are too high
 
I don't think he's completely crap. I think he's been pressed into service as the one up front too often and too soon. IMO he's good enough for 4th choice given an opportunity in the ressies to work at his game under less pressure.
 
it's not a matter of 'liking' a third choice player, it's about not being able to do anything about it at this moment in time and he isn't first choice so it's not a pressing as it could be.

N'Gog isn't as bad as is being made out.

He doesn't play consistently and when he does, it's often with a weakened team who can't string two passes together and as a lone striker, a role he's not particularly suited to. This isn't going to do wonders for his development and it's no wonder he's pretty erratic (lack of quality aside). Most players would be.

He may have missed a couple chances - which is always infuriating at the time - but he's shown decent composure in front of goal in the past and were it not for this earlier in the competition, we'd be out by now. So a little more respect than he's getting is perhaps due.
