5M is a better fee for Insua especially considering the fact that we paid around 2M for him and put a lot of effort into his development.

If this move goes through, it'll leave us with no first team LBs though. Brilliant.
There's a lot of noise re-Figueroa though. And let's face it by the end of the season Agger was a much better bet out there.

If it's 5 mill £, it's great. If it's 5 mill euros, then not so good.
What is the point of keeping a complete liability around regardless of the price we get for him. 5M would be a decent result, and a profit. He'll do better in a slower league.

5M is a decent fee that rewards our "youth development" to a degree, however he'd be reasonable backup especially considering the state we're in.

He had some good games for us - usually when Riera was playing.

I don't loathe him or anything. He was thrown in at the deep end, especially given that our whole team was underperforming. While I don't think he passed the test entirely, and teams definitely targetted him, he was willing to fight and keep going, and he never felt sorry for himself.

That's all you can ask really, and I wish players like Babel had a bit of that, but in Insua's case, it's not enough.

I'm not saying he's amazing or anything either, but in certain games with decent protection front of him he can be competent to good and that's better than nothing, which is what we'll have if we sell him. Plus he counts as homegrown.

I don't think, contrary to popular opinion, that Agger is a good option at LB and if we have him filling in there and Carra at RB when needed, it just unsettles the entire defence.

If we can bring in two quality LBs that's a different story, but that seems doubtful.

I'm happy that we're getting rid of all the dead wood, but would feel a lot more relaxed if someone also came in soon..

We'll sell then buy. That's what happens if you have bad credit.

The owners are there courtesy of the fans, that being the case there's a lot that can be done. Shrugging your shoulders and doing nothing in resignation, never helps. Thank God for the loons at SoS.

Sorry mate but if you think that you're as deluded as SoS !

Which is why we really need to push through the sale of Masher as quickly as possible and generate some proper funds for Woy.

Actually it is brilliant because it means we must go into the market and I would hope Roy can unearth someone better than Insua.

Rumours of Barca dropping interest in Fabregas and switching to Masher. Inter & Barca in a bidding war ? *rubs hands*

They are not courtesy of us. The owners are owners of the club because they paid money for the club.

Yes the fans could in theory vote with their feet and withdraw their support which would mean that owners no longer had a club, but who would that help?

Not in his own fevered mind, no

Agger isn't a LB.

He's capable of doing a job outthere if needed but he's meant to play in central. That's where he wants to play as well hence we're buying one of Taiwo, Figueroa etc. should Insua leave.

And we'd then still be in need of a decent back-up as well.

Hasn't Taiwo lost his place at Marseilles to that useless old clogger Heinze?

That's a BIG worry,if true.

No need to get personal, lad. Never underestimate the power of the people, it's been known to bring down governments, That being the case a half broke football club is nothing. In case you didn't realise, we're in Administration in all but name.

Wanting to do something and being able to do it, are two very different things.

If true that is indeed a a big worry but I doubt it though. According to Wiki he's their vice-captain. Perhaps Heinze is playing as CB?

Yes, we are skint. So you think it is wise that the 'power of the people' push us over the edge do you?

Result - no decent players at all, relegated and ultimately no football club. But that's okay because at least Hicks loses out too.

KK: We'll go under if the owners stay so lets march out and no one go the games!

But won't we go under anyway because no fans will turn up and invest their money into the club?
