New tactics page
Today we’ve done a major update changing one of the most vital parts of the game - the tactics. It’s a really big change and we’re sure that we’re going to get a lot of different opinions, but during the beta testing it’s been mostly positive reactions. Many have told us that the first reaction was “Wow, this feels unusual” and then after a short while later a positive reaction.
We are well aware that this means changing the behavior when setting the tactics, which will take a while. We’re also aware that not everyone will prefer the new one, so we’ve made it possible to play with the old one as well. Just change it from Profile->Settings.
We wanted to have the tactics, lineup and substitutions on just one page instead of clicking back and forth. We also wanted to make it more graphical and fun. We’ve had a real challenge putting together all information with that limited space, and there’s definitely room for improvements further on. The team have worked very hard with all the technical solutions. We’d like you to be patient since everyone will need some time to adapt, and if you don’t want to you can just go back to the old one.
There are also some bugs corrected (look in change log for more info) and a new section for sponsor activities bringing back real sponsors.This is a test and will only affect some of the players.
Some questions we can answer right now:
- Why is there no Empty squad-button?
There’s no good solution to this since we would need 23 spaces below the lineup. It’s partly a technical issue.
- Why is there no drop down for team captain?
The list is supposed to handle this, top choice in the list will be used first.
- Why are the players moved this way when changing formation?
It’s been really difficult to get this part to work in the best way. If a player were to be thrown out because of his position when changing formation he wouldn’t be thrown back in when changing back. Again, partly technical issues.
-Does it matter if I play a player to the right, left or in the centre now?
No, it doesn´t matter at all. The same goes for all positions
