New Manager?

Status
Not open for further replies.
They were talking about Billic too on SSN this morning.

Like I said on the other thread, I hope we just appoint a caretaker manager. I don't want for us to be sacking another manager a year from now when the new owners come in, that would just be farcical.

I know, I'm a wanker as well as a techno-phobe.

kenny taking over til the club is sold is ideal to me. we're not in a position to appoint anyone notable so why bother.

Great minds, Mr Flower.

I'd definitely take the appointment of King Kenny....

fuck yeh.

Maybe he could convince Rushie to replace N'gog as our backup striker.

If Kenny takes over then Carra might get fast-tracked into a player/coach (come assistant manager) role?

This is about four years too early for Carra, I think. Anyway, if Kenny is appointed he should be appointed on what is explicitly a temp role.

We have a league winning manager on staff, whom I believe won the title with Olympiakos. Why not give him a try?

Hodgeon, O'Neill or Van Gaal or Hiddink for me.

All of them are a punt to varying extents, but I'd be content with that.

Word of warning: Hodgeson sets his sides up in quite a similar way to Benitez, so anyone expecting free-flowing 4-3-3 football next year - think again. I've sung Roy's praises for the last two years. I like what he's achieved at Fulham and I admire how he conducts himself. I think he's a decent choice and ticks many of the right boxes.

Dalglish gets the big thumbs down from me. If he doesn't think he's capable of the job, why should the rest of us?

Where has Kenny said he's incapable of the job ?

Bearing in mind he's about to take it on.

Football isnt very complicated, and King Kenny knows the most of it. I know that fitness training etc has developed since his glory days, but footie as such is still very much about having your 11 outplay their 11....

The kid in me would be bursting with excitement if Kenny took the reins.

I should probably rephrase that.

I'd be chuffed if King Kenny took over. I feel that he has unfinished business with us because of how he left back then. Wouldn't it be something for him to lead us to the EPL Championship!

I'm sure he said words to that effect, I'll have a look.
