Anyone watching that Hungary-Costa Rica match.

Nemeth just missed 2 sitters...

I think he's better than N'gog though

Nemeth got the penalty in added time and scored a penalty in the penalty shoot out.
Class player , should be in the squad next year.

Scored for Hungary U21, in their 2-0 victory over Italy.

Anybody have updates on how Nemeth has been doing for AEK?

He seemed to start on a flyer, named the player of the week (in the league) in his first game, then scoring against Olympiakos a few weeks later, but I've heard nothing since those halcyon days.

He was bloody impressive in the Europa League game against the Russian (??) team last week - got an assist and was scaring the defenders whenever he got the ball.

NEMETH STUNS ITALY

Krisztian Nemeth was on target as Hungary U21s beat Italy 2-0 to move a step closer to European Championship 2011 qualification.
The striker, who is currently on loan at AEK Athens, blasted home on 15 minutes after a fine reverse pass from clubmate Andras Simon.

Goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi made up Liverpool's trio involved in the game, though Nemeth came off injured after just 20 minutes.

The Group Three standings now have Wales at the top on 13 points, Hungary on nine, Italy and Luxembourg on just four points, and Bosnia-Herzegovina with one.

That was a beautiful pass by Simon - had no idea it was him. Where is he at the moment?

Córdoba in Spain's second division if memory serves.

We haven't heard a word about him, so he isn't injured. He didn't participate in WC so he's not on holiday.
My guess is he's being sold, which is sad, I might add.
He never had a chance to prove himself.

He got a taste of first team football in Greece so I guess he wants that to continue and to be honest I don't think he's the right type of player to spearhead a 4-2-3-1 formation.

The club is strapped for cash and we cant afford to keep a large squad. Fringe players like Plessis, Nemeth, El Zhar etc are the first to go.

On the move: Liverpool youngster Krisztian Nemeth

Lecce have made a £1million bid for Liverpool youngster Krisztian Nemeth.

The 21-year-old came to England from MTK Hungaria amid much fanfare three years ago, with the Reds' official website still describing him as 'one of the most exciting prospects on Liverpool's books'.

However, Nemeth has failed to break through to the first time despite impressing for the reserves and he spent last season on loan at AEK Athens - scoring three goals in 18 appearances.

Lecce hope to sign him as part of plans to build a squad capable of staying in Serie A.
Nemeth has impressed as a youth international and helped Hungary to third place at the Under 20 World Cup last year. In May he won his first full international cap during a 3-0 defeat by Germany.

Meanwhile, Flamengo have joined the race to sign Liverpool reserve keeper Diego Cavalieri.

The Rio de Janeiro side are in a stronger position to meet the Brazilians wage demands than rivals Santos and Corinthians, but none of the suitors want to pay a fee for a player who still has two years to run on his Anfield contract.

Reports in Brazil say Ronaldinho has verbally agreed terms on an £85,000 a week deal with Flamengo. The club face difficult negotiations with AC Milan to try to agree a fee, but it is claimed there is a clause in his contract allowing a free transfer in January.

The 30-year-old, who has enjoyed his summer vacation in Rio, has 12 months to run on his current Milan deal.

1 million sounds likes good money for him, especially if we add a sell on clause. shame as he seemed to have a lot of 'game' intelligence about him

Subject to a medical Krisztián Németh will join Olympiakos on a three year deal.

Liverpool will receive €1.5 million plus 25% of any sell on fee for the 21-year-old striker.

There had been extensive interest in the Hungarian forward with teams from Portugal, Spain, Germany and Italy amongst others expressing an interest.

However, Németh was happy to return to Greece having played for AEK Athens last term.

AEK were one of at least three Greek clubs to have contacted the Reds about the his services.

The basis of a deal with Olympiakos had been in the pipeline for some weeks.

A statement on the Greek club's website reads: "Olympiakos announces a deal with Liverpool for the acquisition of Hungarian international player, Krisztián Németh, who will sign a three-year contact with the club."

Németh has not featured in a first team game for Liverpool.

Olympiakos signed Albert Riera last month.

Gd luck to the lad. A bit surprised by the lack of opportunity (esp. under the new manager). €1.5m plus the rumoured 25% sell on fee is not a bad deal. With all due respect to the lad, I don't really see him making it at Olympiakos so I think we can see that 25% within the next couple of years. :-[
