NBA Regular season & PLAYOFFS

They do, I must say I am disappointed so far with the Lakers-Jazz series.

I'll admit I did not see Utah play that much this year, but after watching the last 2 games, I have to say Boozer is highly over rated, Gasol owns him down low. Williams is the only player they got, and it ain't gonna be enough to compete with Kobe.

Familiarity breeds contempt as they say. This is the 3rd consecutive year they have met in the playoffs. I think the series will ignite if Utah wins game 3, otherwise it *could* be a sweep. Next 2 games in Utah should be interesting.

Suns 2-0 up against the Spurs. What happened there? Is it a good idea to change your starting PG at this time of the year? I think Popovich has to pound the ball low to Duncan, Amare can't defend for nuts.

Also, Magic 2-0 up, they look like they can make it to the finals again.

I think the fact that Parker is coming off the bench is kind of misleading. He is still playing starter minutes, just not starting the game. The big difference in game 2 is the bench play for the Suns.

Frye and Dudley came in and could not miss from downtown. We have Matt Bonner coming off the bench for fucks sake, that's never going to get it done. We should win the next 2 at home, because I doubt their role player will play as well on the road as they do at home.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that for the Suns this is their championship, if they get past us, as far as they are concerned they will have finally accomplished something this season, and they will get smoked in the next round, whoever they play.

I heard on the radio that Kirelinko, is supposed to get some minutes for Utah in game 3, he may be a game changer, or he may choke as he usually does in the playoffs.

Suns sweep the Spurs. Will be an interesting offseason for SA.

Celtics and Cavaliers all tied up at 2 apiece.

What can I say ... Rajon Rondo ... It's quite a story where the best player on the Celtics roster the past few years is this man. He's fantastic.

Best rebounding point guard I've seen in some time.

Meanwhile, go Suns!

Celtics knock out the Cavs!!!! Looks like the end of the Lebron era in Cleveland.

Conference Finals are set.

Lakers vs Suns.

Magic vs Celtics.

gotta hope Cuban can swing something ... and if not, just bring in Amare to play center ...

My hope: Orlando slams the Celtics, and follows that with a win over the Lakers (who I think match up very well with the Suns).

Give Vinsanity his title.

1. Fuck off.

2. Why? It's not like that tippy-tap bellend has earned a ring or anything... He's a show pony who's got no real steel to his game when it matters.

1. thank you. just because i hate the Celts, doesn't mean that tone of language needs to be used. I have no issues with the Sox or the Patriots (despite their mossad antics!) or the bruins. I just hate the Celtics.

2. I like Vince. He provided many many Sportcenters at unis with 'How the hell did he pull that off?' He's one of those players I just 'grew up' on, both at uni & with the Raptors/Nets. I'd rather see him get the title than another one for Kobe, or that 'nice guy' Pierce (as it seems they're the two best teams left)

Yeah, I didn't get Whaddapie's tone. I think he hates the Lakers as much as you hate the Celtics Avram.

Lakers thrash Suns FTW.

Haha.

Fuck Vince.

Cheering for Nash and Co. (even though he is a Spurs fan) but have to admit I gained a new level of respect for Kobe last night. Post-game interview, the reporter is all but fellating him and asks if the playoffs is Kobe's "staging ground for proving he is the greatest in the world". Kobe straight gives him a "WTF?" look and says "I'm not into that stuff". Could tell he was genuinely surprised at the question and not just false humble.

If I was Kobe I'd be more of a dick than he is and maybe even more of a cocky dick than I am.

I hope the Lakers play Boston in the finals, if they play Orlando its all over.

Dwight Howard is soft.

As much as I hate the Lakers it makes me feel good to see Nash and co sad after what they did to the Spurs, and how excited they were.

The second round victory was their championship.

Yeah I saw that interview, the interviewer was comparing Lebron and Kobe, saying that Lebron had been named MVP twice in a row but had been eliminated before the finals last season and this, whereas Kobe had the chance to prove he is the greatest basketball player (again). Media would have had a field day if Kobe said, "yeah, why not?".

Wizards win the lottery. John Wall to Washington then.

Hope the Suns bounce back after that horrible showin in Game 1.

Anyone could have just said what Kobe said but the look on his face was one of pure shock. Made it more believeable.

For Jayzus' sake, lads... I've never told Avy to f$&! off and meant it in my life... Was foolin' around, 'cos he wants the C's to lose.

Just wait till the Celts play the Lakers. Then I'm really torn - I hate both, so because you're a mod and I don't want to get banned, I'll hope they win (Sorry DHSC)

Amare with a monster game as the Suns pull it back to 2-1.

Think Lakers will still win the series but glad to see it get competitive at least. I hate series sweeps in sports.

Rumors here that Dirk might become a free agent.

I think he'll re-sign and I dunno why, but I'm optimistic that Mr. James will be a Mav too ...

The Cleveland Cavaliers have fired Mike Brown, a source close to the head coach told ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher.

The Cavaliers had a midnight deadline on Sunday to fire the coach or pay him his full $4.5 million salary for next season.

Cleveland was ousted from the playoffs two weeks ago by the Boston Celtics, who upset the NBA's top regular-season team in six games.

Suns make it 2-2 ;D. Bet you didn't see that coming. Series on!
[/quote]

Excited!!! The scoring runs both teams were on were fantastic. Loved seeing Kobe step up and carry the Lakers only to have the Suns nail baskets all across the floor in response.

Since I can't get away this weekend to see Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals, might try to peg a NBA Finals game....
