Nash to Lakers in sign-and-trade.

Deron Williams stays in Brooklyn.

Joe Johnson moves to Brooklyn.

Howard continues being childish.

Disastrous offseason for the Mavericks ... I'm gutted - we destroyed a championship side in hope of getting Deron Williams and/or Dwight Howard. We won't get either, and we'll be stuck trying to figure out how to ensure Dirk's last few seasons aren't wasted.

Boston have kept their core, which means they should be there or thereabouts again this year. Garnett and Allen both agreed deals. Allen had an offer from the Heat on the table too.

If either of Boston's first round picks pain out - by all accounts Sullinger should if he avoids injury - then they could be excellent

They're also signing Terry, who's a tremendous 6th man scoring wise and is a decent defender. That team is highly motivated - they feel they should have beaten the heat, but injuries killed 'em. They're going to be very dangerous.

Isn't Allen already their sixth man? Bradley seems to be highly thought of.

Has it been confirmed that Allen will return? I thought the Celtics were preparing for the possiblity of him leaving hence the interest in Mayo.

Wizzy: One thing the Mavs have is cap space, and that's very good given you have Cuban and Nelson. You can trade for players that capped out teams simply can't.

Dragic back to Suns.

Nash leaves 🙁

But some bold moves by the Suns. Dragic and Beasley signed to good deals. Gordon signed to a max offer sheet. If they get Gordon, next season should see them back in the playoffs, with a pretty decent core.

If not Gordon, I can see them going after Mayo, which won't be too bad either.

Two first round picks from the Nash trade as well. My interest has spiked up again. 🙂

And nothing to get ... So it seems we've screwed our short term future in the hope of landing D-Will and Superman ... Oh well, rebuilding time!

Wow - Kidd has left the Mavericks to end his career with the Knicks. WOW. Talk about the Mavericks being completely screwed.

I think, if we're really going to re-build, it's time to move Dirk on. I love him. Best player in franchise history, one of the best forwards in NBA history and a good guy ... and that's precisely why he doesn't deserve to be on a re-building project that won't bear fruit until after he retires. Get a few #1 picks, and a highly rated kid, or two.

Allen to the Celts.

Mavs are going to 'give up' on this year in hopes of signing CP and Dwight Howard next year. Right.

Mavs get OJ Mayo.

Love this pick up ... great upside and 15.0+ ppg career scorer.

To be honest, considering the disappointment of missing out on DWill, I'm happy with the offseason. Kaman, Brand, Collison, Mayo & Jones are an improvement.

1) Your 2012 Western All-Stars starting point guard... Jeremy Lin of the Houston Rockets.

2) Brooklyn Nets starting 5 next season:
PG: Williams ($17.2m)
SG: Johnson ($19.8m)
SF: Wallace ($9m)
PF: Humphries ($12m)
C : Lopez ($13.7m)

Total = $71.1m.
Luxury tax threshold = $70.3m

What luxury tax?

3) Great plan C or D by Cuban.

Lakers are in the running for Superman. Would be a phenomenal pick up - Kobe, Nash & Howard - wow.

Clips are going to sign Grant Hill. another solid bench player with Odom & Billups. I can see CP3 staying.

Looks like the Pistons may be playing the Knicks in London on 17th January 🙂

Oh, and last time I saw the Pistons live, they won the title that year 😉

OHMYFUCKINGGOD.

A four-team trade that would send Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers is complete, multiple sources told ESPN on Thursday night.

A source with direct knowledge of the talks told ESPN.com's Marc Stein the Lakers will receive Howard, the Denver Nuggets will acquire Andre Iguodala, the 76ers will receive Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson, and the Magic will get Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic and one protected future first-round pick from each of the other three teams. Sources close to the process told Stein and ESPNLosAngeles.com's Ramona Shelburne that a trade call with the league office has been scheduled for Friday to secure the necessary NBA approval to make the deal official.

*waits for LTW, Rosco, Modo, StGeorge, and all the rest of the NBA fans here to wake up*

Allen to Liverpool.
Howard to Lakers.

Feels good to be a fan.
