Pablo Osvaldo could 'do a Gaston Ramirez' for Southampton at the club record fee of £15m.

Moses will be great.

I hope Eriksen is shite ( Sorry Kris mate)

1 goal, 2 assists in 2 games ... good start the twat:

Willian is the obvious one.

Never seen him, but there was always a million and one warning signs with that transfer.

Riiiiight. We give up on our own players after 3-4 games but other clubs signings are worldies after 2 easy games.
This forum is amazing at times.

I've no doubt that Eriksen will turn out to be a good player for Spurs, but we've gone with Coutinho as our nr 10.
Since his debut no one in the league has created more chances from open play, 25.
Eriksensmeriksen.

That makes no sense. We've been raving about Coutinho.

For what it is worth I absolutely LOVE Coutinho, I think we are extremely lucky to have him as I believe he is one of the brightest talents out there. Amazing find really. I don't rate him any less than Eriksen, and truth to be told I do rate that kid highly.

They'd have been awesome together.

Some are trying to imply that it was a choice between Coutinho and Eriksen. It didn't have to be.

It didnt, but Coutinho would have been pushed wide left with Eriksen coming in.
I think our team in the long run is better off with a player like Moses there and keeping Coutinho as our nr 10.

Both now Coutinho is injured. Eriksen went to Spurs knowing there would be competition.

Ericksen coming to us would not automatically mean Coutinho goes wide left.

... Or they'd have been competing for the central spot. Would have come in quite handy over the next few weeks.

Hindsight is a beautifull thing isnt it.

We all wanted one more attacking midfielder in and now Coutinho is injured.
I was quite positive in regards to us signing Eriksen which about 92% of the forum wasnt but that has probably changed now that he's been good in his first two games. In hindsight and the fee Spurs paid we should have bought Eriksen instead of Luis Alberto. Lets hope LA steps up.

Eriksen compets with Holtby and Sigurdsson though. None of which have set the world alight.

My point is that I'm happy we've moved Coutinho in centrally and thats where he should be imho.
Eriksen moved to Spurs and we werent interested. I'd love to stop discussing the dickhead as he isnt our player and I hope he's shite or we'll have I told you so posts every week.

I wanted him too. Big time. It was a no brainer at that fee.

I do agree that we should stop discussing him.

Its even more annoying seeing him do well mate, when we should have signed him and not Alberto imho. For that fee mind...

Keeper should be saving that all day long. Good hit though, I think he'll do well for Spurs if he gets enough support in front of him (e.g. actually making runs and finishing) from Defoe and Soldado

I don't recall many (if any) posters really not wanting him. IMO there was a bit of a "Cry Wolf" thing going on, with some folks getting turned off the idea as a reaction to one or two of us - no names, no pack drill - constantly banging the drum about him. What little I saw of him on youtube etc.certainly suggested he was good enough for us and I'd have been quite happy to sign him at the right price. That said, I think Coutinho's a very special talent.

Alberto will be as important as coutinhos proven himself to be. Mouriniho will be sacked before the end of the season. United will finish second but win the Champions league. OK theyre not massive calls or anything but its the best ive got

Maybe. I'm guessing Oncy and a couple of others that were vocal is what I remember.
The price could have been a lot higher when we signed Alberto earlier in the summer.

Eriksen is a good player but if its true that we scouted him for a year and didnt want to sign him in the end, then we've certainly done our homework.

I'm equally intrigued by Willians move to Chelsea. He looked awful against Basel. I wonder if he has the motivation to work as hard as he has to in this league.
