If I've understood KHL's stance he is saying Poulsen wasn't the shittest player on the pitch but was still poor. He also wants us to sell him because he is not good enough. How has this become such a heated debate?

My whole point was, regardless of what degree of shittiness Poulsen played against Blackpool, the simple truth is he is not good enough for Liverpool Football Club - and he's not alone in that respect. Surely everyone can agree on that ? Hence me being perplexed at you defending him, that's all. I wasn't attacking you but you have to admit you do have a slight leaning of bias towards those players of a Danish origin. You can't deny that surely ? I admire your patriotism but really, when Liverpool are involved, country should come a distant second. That's the way I look at things - fuck nationality, are they good enough for the club ? Well, I agree with a lot of that and I like you as a poster too (most of the time at least ;D), but it just provoced the living bollocks out of me that the 'bias-card' was drawn - with regards to my views on the Blackpool game. As someone said, I was probably taking it all a bit to serious though and for that I apologies.

I admit I really want Poulsen (although I'm not that bothered anymore as he's certainly not delivered the goods) and Agger to do well. But in a broader perspective they don't matter to me compared to my love for the club. They are Liverpool-players but 'tomorrow', when they are gone, I'm still as big a Liverpool-supporter as I've always been.

I really wasn't on a crusade to defend the Poulsen-signing. I still don't think he's got what it takes to be a Liverpool-player. The fact I supported us buying him, as I reckoned he'd be a shrewd signing, well, that was me beeing wrong.
 
I'm a bit shit actually, at times, but not THAT shit.

What I'm trying to say, I guess, is that I'm no Glock.

There's still room for improvement though.

I refuse to argue the indisputable fact that Poulsen is/was gash.

He's not good enough, the degree by which he isnt good enough is irrelevant, he shouldnt be in the first team or at our club, or paid a salary by our club.

In fact, I hope it was just Hodgson and purely Hodgson. The thought of more than one person at the club thinking it would be a good signing makes me want to take my own life.
 
I'm pretty sure Hodgon ran the rule over the Poulsen and Konchesky signings pretty exclusively.

Meireles, I think, was more a recommendation from the scouting department than a Hodgson signing.
