And this is why Skully's fucking percentage predictor aint worth shit. He had this one at 97% three days ago.

Rank amateur.

So 2 wingers with Mane and Salah, both pacy as fuck, i'd say just fucking pay that 35 mil Roma wants. Dont be a fucking cheapskate.

Then we can proceed to sign a proven top class striker and defender.

Douglas Costa can be had for a rumoured fee of £30m. Sign him up I say. No worry about the ACON either

Absolutely agree.

He is great on both left & right foot and can player on the right & left.

If he is available for the same fee as Salah then I'd take Douglas Costa.

I'd be more pissed off about blowing this deal than blowing the vvd one.
If this one falls through then I'll start to wonder whether the whole "massive war chest" was just a pile of poo to play the fans. Whether we buy a striker or not, someone with salah's pace and stats is exactly what we need. Him and Mane on the wings would be amazing. If it falls through over a couple of million, that's a joke. Reminds me of the whole Dani Alves debacle.

I'd rather we forget about Salah, that Martins kid from Portugal - and the dead deal for Van Dijk - and go big for someone like Lorenzo Insigne, who is deadlocked in negotiations with Napoli.

A little magician he is - a carbon copy of Coutinho.

Signing him for 40-50M would bring more flexibility to the side than spending 35M on Salah.

He can play no.10 and out on the left.

To have Coutinho & Insigne rotating on the left and central would be brilliant for us. Imagine being a opposition defence and having to deal with Coutinho, Insigne & Mane ...

I hope we get Salah - at least he'll add some pace. But what I've been hoping for most in terms of forwards is someone with real power and incisiveness.

There are two templates to look at - the Liverpool that wins games by playing with extreme fluidity and remorseless pressing, and the Liverpool that draws or loses after being baffled and subdued by deep-lying defences.

The first template pretty much invites you to sign a couple of Coutinho types, just to make it even more fun. If it ain't broke, give it a polish.

But we need to focus on the second template. And that surely requires at least one player who can do what our current players can't do.

Some cryptic message from his agent:

Sometimes, good things come to those who don't wait too long.

We don'r need to debate this, but I thought it was agreed Italian players are no good for us.

I think klopp prefers Salah because of his work rate. He definitely is good at pressing high up the field.

It suggests he's saying stop fucking around and just pay the money.

Too right. This happened he last time we tried to sign him. We waited and waited and Chelsea just paid up.
If this doesn't happen we're a joke. Vvd a mess and now this one too. He's clearly a target and one we went for off the bat, so why mess about over a few mill?
If it's all a negotiating ploy and we save big dollars, great. But I've a feeling we're gonna do what we seem to be great at screw this one up too.
Get it done.

[article]Despite reports of an imminent deal with Liverpool, our exclusive source close to Mohamed Salah insists there are no developments for the Roma winger.

Today beIN Sports claimed that the €40m transfer had been worked out and would be announced after he completed international duty with Egypt tomorrow.

However, we contacted our exclusive source close to Salah and were told “there’s nothing new. Seriously.”

The source proved to be accurate when multiple reports claimed the deal was done on June 4, but Football Italia were informed this was not the case.

We are therefore confident that, despite what other reports may say, there is no upcoming announcement from Liverpool for Salah.[/article]

“there’s nothing new. Seriously.” sounds like the source has been bugged one too many times already this week and is just fed up like the rest of us at this point.

Several outlets suggesting we have submitted a new offer. Roma willing to accept.

The fee varies though from €30m +€5m add ons through to €40m+€5m add ons depending on the source.
