No WAY is Salah better than Douglas Costa?!
I dont watch the Serie A these days so I really can't say, but no way..
Oh and @Hansern, to quote the lyrics of a famous song you have no doubt had to hear loads as a parent..
LET IT GOOOOO, LET IT GOOOOOO
Aat least then it felt like we only needed the "final piece of the jigsaw"Irrespective of who we get I love the fact that we're prioritizing pace and quality out wide.
If only we could've gotten one during Rafa's time here to round off *that* team... sigh.

Maybe he lost his place because he wants to leave? Why not? He scores more and is generally more consistent, less one-footed, but equally fast. Douglas Costa is looking to leave because he lost his place in the Bayern team under Ancelotti.
Average player and looks a bit of a bottler....
He plays in Italy, where when players move to another league and they bomb or take a season or two to adjust. Why not? He scores more and is generally more consistent, less one-footed, but equally fast. Douglas Costa is looking to leave because he lost his place in the Bayern team under Ancelotti.
Melissa ReddyVerified account @MelissaReddy_ 17h17 hours agoI'd rather have Julian Brandt, lets hope something can still happen there.
And so it begins.
Target A too expensive, let's move onto target B. Target B, wages too high, let's move on to target C.
Hang on, target C isn't much better than what we have, & has a questionable injury record. Ah fuck it, they're new, we need new players, let's buy them anyway.
It'd be nice if once, just fucking once, we chose a player & signed them, without baulking over price, or salary, or refusing to pay more than our rivals to get a signature.
We're not a poor club. Far fucking from it, yet we seem to refuse to compete with our peers financially.
Of course, & in many ways we can't compete, but fuck me, it's like groundhog day.Yes, it is annoying.
But even I would have to concede that sometimes, as much as we might try and/or be willing to pay the money required, another club simply looks more attractive.
Perhaps we've moved on from Brandt for footballing reasons.
The absence of Mane has really highlighted how one paced our attack is without him.
Perhaps that has prompted a rethink from Klopp in terms of recruitment.
Liverpool are looking into a number of wide options as Bayer Leverkusen’s Julian Brandt is unwilling to risk his appearances diminishing next season. The 21-year-old, who has been scouted by the club for years and was pursued in January as well as ahead of this summer, is targeting a place in Germany’s squad for the 2018 World Cup. He does not want to jeopardise his chances of making the cut by supplementing rather than assuming a starring role in Liverpool’s attack. With Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho proving how destructive they can be in tandem, Brandt knows regular run-outs from the off would not be guaranteed if he transferred to Anfield as he adapts to a new country and league.
"If you make the move, there is no guarantee that you'll play,” he told Focus on his future
According to the article the reason we appear to be moving on from Brandt is because net season he wants to stay at Bayer, where he is guaranteed first-team football. Nothing to do with money or playing style.
He'd be pretty much guaranteed it here too

Brandt isn't Mane-quick, but he's certainly faster than any of our other lot
I see what you did there.Get in, Salah!
I see what you did there.
Or the revised strategy:
Step 1: target the best player for a certain position.
Step 2: blanch at the price, so try and fail to buy cheaper alternatives.
Step 3: Ask Milner to play there instead.
Repeat ad nauseam or until Milner is worn out.
So would I.He'd be pretty much guaranteed it here too
