Benitez has also admitted to mistakes during his time in charge:
“Did we make mistakes? Obviously. But 82, 86 points, four trophies, three more finals in a difficult time when the owners were changing, when the chief executives were changing. A lot of things were changing. Now people can see it, no? It was a big, big problem. I’ll say it again, we made mistakes. But people are talking about players who were not good enough, if you put five or six of these players together, the cost would be five million. It’s not easy to wheel and deal and at the same time to win and sign players like Torres, Reina, Mascherano, Aquilani, Skrtel, Johnson, Lucas Leiva, Agger or Kuyt.â€

some of the blind anti-rafa bullshits here are just as shit as the blind pro-rafa bullshits from RAWK

He says that it was everybody else's fault we're shit.

If it were his fault, then as soon as he left we'd be in better shape.

Since we're still shit (or wose shit) that means he was right and it wasnt his fault we're shit.

I call it The RAWK Theorem.

Agree with this.

I'd also like it if he didnt keep blaming everybody else for everything.

It wasnt all his fault, but some of it was.

The Cult of Benitez does have some adherents here, in all probability.

But surely you'd be much here with the rest of the loons over at RAWK.

It's a place where you can take a break from all your worries, and where you can get away to a place where everyone knows your name..and where they're always glad you came.

There you can discuss the dastardly machinations of how Gerrard and Carragher plotted foul deeds to remove Rafa together with the rest of the Four Liars of the Apocalypse.

I thought of replying to all your other posts, but you're just 'spouting shits'.

Lucas Leiva?

Nice one.

I only just came here because my bro hangs here.
But I'm sensing that RAWK and 6CM don't get on? Tribal stuff?

I looked and it's full of mad conspiracy theories, bonkers supposition that's completely unprovable.
But I'm also getting a weird deja vu of history lessons at school where they told us not to think of fascism and communism as ideologies far apart at the opposite ends of a straight line - but as close to each other on an incomplete circle...

That doesn't really support your argument though, does it?

It starts off with him saying "We made mistakes" then leads into a bit of bigging up, justification, and blaming changing owners, changing managing directors, and a lack of funds.

Now, it's not that there isn't a valid point in among those, but there were times during the end of his tenure where it got a bit Houllieresque. Much as it is now with Roy.

Whilst it is unlikely for *any* manager to come out and outright say "I fucked up big" without attempting to temper that with some defence of themselves, it is a touch self-serving

No real out-and-out warfare, but I suppose there are certainly ideological differences regarding certain things.

I think it's more to do with the comments that have come out in recent times lambasting Carra and Gerrard, how they're poisonous influences at the club that were instrumental in Rafa losing his job, and how they're as bad as Hicks and Gillett.

Probably that, and their unwavering and unshakable belief that if we got rid of those two, Lucas would suddenly become the greatest player the world has ever seen.

Plus I'm a little bitter that they banned me for backing Carra without giving me a platform to argue my case or provide any justification other than "because"

Managers who won't accept criticism and continually justify their own actions - surely not?

Exhibit A
Mourinho

Exhibit B
Wenger

Exhibit C
Ferguson

A trait of the managerially inclined I think

How anyone could confirm this apart from a personal connection is beyond me, I certainly wouldn't believe anything I read on the internet.

Lucas - ha ha. Good point, well made 😉

That sounds like sticking fingers in ears and going - na na na na I can't hear you...

Plus it seems there is still a little room for dissent on here - about the only thing we've universally agreed upon is that Roy's not up to the task.

Although the balance by the end was probably more anti-Rafa than pro-Rafa, there were certainly a decent proportion of posters that backed him to the hilt and still would today, and whilst everyone pretty much gives as good as they get, there's been very few bannings over here, aside from the regular nutters who just keep coming back for more.

Plenty of our reasoned posters, who aren't generally the controversial or trouble-starting types have been banned from there for merely expressing an opinion.

It's a bit totalitarian - especially the way match threads aren't allowed in case somebody expresses an opinion not in accord with the party line.

Here you've got to pretty much shit down someone's throat to get banned

Those 'Exhibit' managers have all won the league a few times though, which is the perfect way of making up for mistakes.

The short of it is they take themselves REALLY REALLY fucking seriously. Shame too, that could be a great forum.

I'm sure I saw gkmacca on RAWK the other day. He didn't used to be particularly serious. Unless someone upset him.

I mean, I doubt The Lucas Diaries would go down very well over there!

Yeah, it could be great forum, if it weren't full of bellends, who are wrong about almost everything.

i've never really given a toss about the idea of RAWK being full of paranoid, delusional nutters, because at the end of the day i figure it's just an internet forum, it's their site and people going on there to preach their opinions to them deserve a ban just for their self-importance. however, i was fairly amazed when a mate of mine said he'd been permanently banned from there just for calling hodgson a 'dithering old twat'.

the scary thing is i'm not sure it qualifies as a cult, because as i've said before, they've got absolutely loads of posters, here's how a few sites compare in the 'most online ever' stakes:

us: 282
est: 394
YNWA: 2024
RAWK: 9309

Plot = Lost.

I'd be fucked off if I was an Inter fan. Not only does he never stop talking about LFC, he's already trawled out the 'we need loads of new players in January' line.

Those 'Exhibit' managers have all won the league a few times though, which is the perfect way of making up for mistakes.

I know, that was my point.

That if it were a valid criticism in and of itself, it would apply to most if not all title winning managers.

right.

I've been banned for sarcastically saying that Rafa eats newborn babies, in an obvious mocking reference to a previous poster.

I've been banned for speaking "off topic too much" in a way that could be seen to be commenting on a match that was going on.

I've been banned for saying that Huang's bid seemed seriously dodgy, and wondering why everyone was happy to believe Bamba simply because he was being given an account of a situation they didn't have access to.

I've been banned for saying that Bamba only knew what Huang's PR told him.

They have a militant core of earnest retards that seem to set the terms for all debate. We definitely have a sort of group think here, but if you can fight your corner, it's encouraged and appreciated.

Hey, BLAME OTHERS for what has happened last season(7th place finish) and NOT ME. Typical Rafa response.

If Inter fail to win Serie Snore this season, he will blame Moratti for not providing him with the funds needed to sign his transfer target.

You have missed one thing though at RAWK, the constant conspiracy theory that Rafa INTENTIONALLY playing poorly just to force the owner out !! That is not even hilarious, that is DELUSIONAL !

Hear at SCM, you hear different voices and you will not get banned by not supporting LUCAS !
