No, and I can tell for sure the majority probably don’t want him.Am I the only one that REALLY doesn't want Mount?
compared with what we have at the moment I’ll take two of him
Why is always compared to "what we have"
What about compared to what there is out on the market?
Am I the only one that REALLY doesn't want Mount?
We had 81% possession in this match in which our midfield apparently got bummed.I been in the no mounting camp for about 3yrs, he won’t fix the midfield that got bummed today by Forest. Rather we save the 50m and put it in 5% fixed term 2yr deposit so we can afford a proper CM in 2025.
ok then let me say it in a way that pleases you. I would be happy to take the 24 year old England international who has been Chelsea’s player of the year the last two seasons in a row and always looks dangerous against us. I’m not aware of any major injury issues with him and i think he’d have been good enough to be in and around the first XI of any Klopp Liverpool side.
No you are not. I don’t either. The more he was player of this or that season is trotted out the more I doubt he’s even all that.Am I the only one that REALLY doesn't want Mount?
Well to be fair (and I'm not in the 'Mount' club) we, more than anyone, know what a dysfunctional midfield can do to the attack (and defence).Well now you're talking, you've really sold it to me now.....🙄
The guy only picked up 1 of those awards because of the great final he played....we all know Kante Kovacic Jorginho were the stars in that side & the other season Thiago Silva was by far their best player, but fans usually vote for the guy who gets the goals/assists.
& when Kante's out for a season, Kovacic is in and out to injury and Jorginho is moved on you get the Mount we've seen this season....which is the real Mount, your typical average hypejob Brit.

I don't buy this narrative at all. The reason we had 81% possession was, at least until Thiago came on, there was someone snapping at them as soon as they had possession, and much like against Leeds in the second half, we were all over them like a rash. I don't see how any of that equates to being bummed, and I don't think you'll find a single myopic Forest fan out there saying that they bummed our midfield. They might say Konate got bummed, and their set piece caused panic, but their foothold in that game was absolutely nothing to do with anything like dominance in midfield. On the contrary, we were all over them in midfield.Got bummed when it matters then unless those posession stats were exclusive to our midfield.
I saw a lack of pressing and posession in the second half personally and things got worse when Thiago came on.

we should try for caicedo
Missed the boat there. A club not run by a load of lizard stigs will sign him.
No, a club run by a parsimonious clique which has an extensive network of scouts and spots cheap players with good potential. So, a club owned by saber swinging oil cheftains then?

He didn’t, not in the first place. Now, the parsimonious clique hold the four aces.As Caceido would cost a lot, that has dumbfounded me.
The game did become unstructured, and I don't disagree that in the second half we didn't have the control we would like. I just completely disagree with the characterisation of the cause of all this as being that our midfield was 'bummed'. Because that's just not true. It’s not a narrative, and nothing particularly against Thiago. Fabinho was probably our best midfielder but Jones, Hendo and Thiago were all poor. That's practically entire midfield.
We weren’t all over Forest in the second half and not in the game I watched although in the first half we were very controlled. In the second half, there was lack of pressure on their midfield and saying 81% doesn’t equate to just midfield being in control. We didn't keep the ball well enough consistently after each of our goals and the pressure kept coming back to our defense which wasn't just related set pieces. we kept giving away set pieces as team and that's when I expected our experienced midfield to keep hold of the ball and show match intelligence.
The game I watched in the second half, I thought was mostly end to end and every time they came at us, we looked vulnerable in the 2nd half. They had almost same amount of shots on goals as us so just focussing on stats possession is a myopic way of judging the midfield.
I said in the other thread. Think we'll try and meet somewhere in the middle if Bellingham requests a transfer.
If it means we get Bellingham plus two more I’m all for it.Liverpool low-balling as usual.
