Christian Zapata has expressed his desire to stay with Udinese, despite a number of offers for a move elsewhere.

“I am happy and settled to stay here in Udine,†Zapata confirmed to Calciomercato.it.

“Udinese has done so much for me, giving me the chance to make a name for myself here in Italy; for this I am eternally grateful. Staying here to grow and do well is very important to me and I will do so with the desire to always improve and honour the shirt,†he stated.

With the Zebrette recently declaring they are set to hold on to Gaetano D’Agostino, it has proven to be a reasonably successful summer for president Giampaolo Pozzo, who has managed to maintain a strong core of his squad.

Despite the advances from some of Italy’s bigger clubs for their key personnel, Udinese look set to be a strong challenger for the Europa League places next season.

Have a word with Javier will you Christian.

You can hardly compare the two.

If We didn't get Mascherano.

One of the mahussive european teams would, he was hardly a fledgling player.
