Matheus Nunes

So all we need to fix this season's issue is to get you a box at Anfield and have the club take care of all your needs. Might be cheaper than the midfield overhaul?

I have already suggested this - my ongoing salary for this service , despite being a tasty increase on my current one, would be a fraction of the cost of Melo and I could probably guarantee more impact on the field of play as well.

Id be wanting one of those comfy seats on the bench and a nice warm blankey if they want to have me sit down on the bench - and it will be a different sort of “sports drink” I’ll require to be on hand.

Speaking of boxes at Anfield, Ive been fucking struggling of late to get a ticket to watch us play, I moved up to the area so I could be to go at least 10 times a season! Do you know how many times ive been so far?!? Twice! Fucking twice!!!! Why is it so hard to get a cunting ticket even as a members holder????????????????

Ok - let’s put this one to bed until the summer.

We can’t sign him in January - he’s been registered and played for 2 clubs already.

We didnt sign Nunes in the summer because we were saving for Jude.

Now we're signing Nunes in Janaury because we can't get Jude.

But he can't join in January so we'll wait until next summer.

Pure genius.

Or - it’s all a lot of made up bulshit by someone on the internet or worse still…. A journo!!!

May well be happening, I think the journo is a trusted one. Still... Why even leak it now, what are the benefits

I’ve been unsuccessful in 4 consecutive ballots.

If we sign him its probably a Keita/Ox replacement in the squad I reckon. He plays the LCM position and was fantastic for Sporting.
When we were linked last summer it was clear that he impressed our analytical department.

We dont need him in January (he cant move either) but he would be a welcome addition in the summer when we have to replace and rebuild.

For January I'd want a more energetic and defensive minded midfielder like Caicedo or Kone.

He seems more like a Bellingham alternative to me by the way he plays - someone who likes to drive forward with the ball and can do a bit of everything, a true box-to-box. Don’t see him doing the Thiago or Wijnaldum role of making things tick next to Fabinho - he is more of a Henderson/Elliott replacement.

Jude will end up at Madrid, nailed on. And Enzo will end up at Chelsea....probably so too will Rice as both Kante & Jorginho's contracts are up.

Caicedo will end up at Utd, Nunes will stay at Wolves after they stay up.

And we'll end up asking Juve to extend Artur's loan for another year.

Yeah, a Henderson/Keita type player. He played as a CM for Sporting in a 3-4-3 next to Palhinha last season.

You never know though. Gini wasn't that sort of midfielder when we signed him.

He’s been underwhelming in a struggling, turgid wolves side so far, but it’s early days.

The general buzz in the summer (including Pep’s comments) were positive enough.

Which Pep - the evil one or Guardiola?

Oh shit

Well all things said and done, I simped hard for this guy in the summer so if he's coming (which he may eventually) I'll be eager to see him play for us, probably in our first UEFA Conference league game.

Yep, stupid stupid decision.

3 weeks into the window and we've still not signed a midfielder, it's actually sad.

Relying on Klopp once again to produce miracles with this shit old squad.
