Lucas was MotM until that last foul ... Stupid stupid foul for no reason.

We should have beaten West Ham comfortably over these two games ...

Fuck it, good night ...

Got to feel for the likes of Ilori, Stewart, Chirevella etc. who played their hearts out and didn't deserve to lose. Still .. frees up a bit of space in our calendar for a good EL run and LC win.

Ah well. It's just another horrible moment to add to a long list of horrible moments in a horrible season.

Good to have the League Cup final to look forward to but other than that, fast forward to next season would be great.

To make matters worse I have been trying to watch this on the most patchy stream on kodi ever. Nearly gave up at half time too.

I'm sick over that. We concede in the last min of first half and then last min of ET.

Lucas might have given away the free kick, but it was easily defensible. It's just that for countless years running, we've somehow managed to remain the only Premier League team with pretensions of being a title challenger that hasn't learnt to defend free kicks.

TBH I'd like to see that foul again. It looked very very soft to me, I thought all Lucas did was put his hand out to stop (Valencia ?) backing into him and Valencia threw himself to the ground.

This loss - unfortunately - is on two people.

1) Klopp - stupid subs ... We were dominating the game with our creativity and movement. In one swoop, he took away our two creative outlets and our midfield had no one to give the simple passes to.
2) Benteke - he played well, he did. But he missed really really good chances. Sorry, but that's poor and I am curious if he will recover mentally from this ... He knows he fucked it up.

Oh, it was soft but Lucas made it easy to happen b/c he put his hands on his back ... the striker milked it, and rightly so.

And people wonder why he's so fucking divisive. Because he's all heart and can have spells of real quality, but he's completely dogged his career with stupid shit like that. Well, it just cost us in the last minute of a huge game we'd worked so fucking hard to stay in. You've got lads there like Stewart who are dead on their feet, inexperienced and just doing the sensible things to see them kept out. And then the most experienced player on the pitch does THAT.

A little surprised by Ilori and Chirevella - both dog shit last time out, but reasonable tonight. Stewart looking better and better. Smith probably the biggest loser on the night (bar the hapless mong Benteke)
