Mane injured

Bloody hell! The last time we had a match fit Mane and Coutinhno in the team was before last Christmas.

What was the stat again? Around 40% win percentage without Mane in the team and around 70% with him?

We have more pace now with Salah and AOC but none of them has Mane's quality.

You'd think Lallana is the second coming of Christ.
I've no doubt his importance to us is being massively overplayed, however if his return means Coutinho to left wing, and extra dynamism from Lallana in the centre... Then it could be the exact boost we need

He might help us reduce the sideways passes in midfield, but the defence isn't gonna change.

He presses a lot further up the pitch & tracks back into the centre loads though, which at least takes some of the pressure off the defence.

Well he's a good player and makes us function better as a team and he makes the midfield work alot better.

But heh, don't change the record.

And to think froggy got banned while you wum the shit out of the same subjects for years on end.

We still have Henderson and whoever in there so I don't think it'll make a big difference.

Our midfield worked just fine when he was out injured during March/April last season.
You know when we had a DM on the pitch.

Yeah, but I'm not expecting him to improve the defence. His job is to win the ball higher up (which he does), force mistakes (which he does), and score and create goal opportunities (which he does, but could improve)

He'll improve the one paced nature of our midfield from an attacking point of view, and at the moment that's what we're crying out for

Baresi and beckenbauer couldn't improve our defence

I'm not sure Van Dijk can either

Worst possible timing. Massive test without him on Saturday but we do have Salah at least, we just gotta hope we create the number of chances he needs to take one

Grim news , speedsters never seem the same following a hammy, we’ll see. Very close to consigning yet another season into the bin, getting to be very predictable, very tedious and very very boring.

I got a weird feeling this will help us

Our midfield is better without Coutinho as he drops too far back to win the ball and ends up stuck wide left. Vs utd the free role is ideal

Klopp hasn't found a way to get our ideal front 4 without losing shape etc...

This will definitely bite me in the arse if we get shafted on Sat but I think we'll win now

I think we are getting shafted this weekend either way so I'm not going to totally dismiss it on the basis of one result.
Its a fair and also frustrating point. Klopp has assembled a decent attacking line up but so far doesn't seem to quite know how to get the best from them.

It worked well when he was playing too, what's your point? That you're still fucking crying over the sideways passing, shit at tackling Brazilian?

Did it? I guess January was fine then.
Yep I'm crying about Lucas, but that's mainly because of how wank Cap Sideways is.

I think Solanke deserves a run in the team (as opposed to one game evey now and again) and for the next few games I would select..........................

.........Salah................Firmino...............Coutinho
................................Solanke

If klopp wanted to go a bit crazy he could even drop Coutinho into a deeper role and go........................

..............Henderson..........Coutinho..............Can...................
Salah.......................Ox-Chamberlain.................Firmino
......................................Solanke...................................

All over that Pesam. Solanke has shown he can offer us a genuine option upfront imo & that's despite being played sporadically, I think with a run of games he'll seriously impress, & help us score more often when we dominate possession to boot.

He was never the answer, and that's the worry for me
Seriously, I saw the Sweden-Netherlands game and every set piece we had caused trouble in the Dutch box. Oh, and Wijnaldum was fucking wank.

I saw the Dutch lineup yesterday on livescore, was that Ryan Babel starting on the left wing or is there another Babel?
They must be really fucking shit if they're starting him.

It was our Babbel and he was predictably wank as well

This should be a good chance to look at how we can create an effective front line with Firmino, Salah, Coutinho, AOC, Studge. I imagine we will just stick Studge on the wing though... or move Coutinho forward and play Can, Hendo & Gini in CM.

If Ox doesn't get a chance for a run of games in this period, then I don't see at all why we bought him. Get him in that front three and let him try and find his groove.

An even ballsier move would be to promote Wilson and at least get him on the bench as cover.
