Why?
Because the job already took him beyond the limit of his capabilities once before. Appointing him again would be flogging a whole team of dead horses. The King would be my choice if we were to need a caretaker, though not as a permanent appointment.
Well I'd love him to come for a few months and buy us a couple of full backs in the winter transfer window.
What does that mean though? That his job isn't safe until the summer then?
No, that it IS safe at least until then, but that there had better be a big improvement by then if he wants to keep it.
I read that as his job is safe till the summer but if results continue he will be out.
Me too.

Capello and Mourinho are the only ones that have the right profile.
I wanted them after Houiller. That hasnt changed.
Whats happening now is not a surprise really. I didnt expect that early but it was always going to happen rather sooner than later.
I always said it was a huge mistake to give him such a contract. He even fooled the Yanks, with the SoS help.
Thats his last season, we have to finish 4th and at the same time prepare the next one.

That will be tough with Capello but Mourinho would come.
It will be expensive but a worthwile investment.

Honestly, how can people realistically expect mourinho? I'd fucking love him, but after being at 2 big spending clubs recently he's hardly going to go to the paupers of the big 4. I have no idea who to expect, but i just can't fathom jose coming

You really wanted Mourinho based on one run in the UCL and his record in Portugal over Rafa and his record in Europe AND La Liga? What did you like most? His ability to woo the media? Wait, you probably didn't follow the Portuguese League, so you had no clue. Did you like his attacking play based on the 10-20 games or so you watched Porto play in Europe? Capello I can get but Mourinho? The only reason most of us wanted him here was what he did to Fergie and the two runs he had in Europe with Porto ... Rafa had just as an impressive record and his teams played wonderful footy most of the time.

Yep, we're on par with Wigan these days aren't we...

Which loon would want to work with players of the calibre of Torres and Gerrard.

I'll get in on the game of adding mad names to the list.

Ryan Giggs.

He's won everything and he must have some great interpersonal skills as can be demonstrated by his BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.
I'd go for Sir Ryan. He's got the midas touch.

I'm not convinced by Maureen either, Wiz.

There's nothing in Europe that Maureen has done that Rafa hasn't.

But that's kind of the point, it's the 2 titles he's won for the Chavs that we're hoping he can emulate.

I don't know if he can ever win 19 for us; but I know Rafa never will.

Amazingly i don't change allegiances that easy. Why is it that as soon as someone says we've been shit and our players show little effort, someone decides to pop up and say "support someone else". You are a fucking joke. I go the games and sing. I support my team, and i am allowed to make an opinion that we've been playing shite. And on top of that, this has stemmed from the fact i don't think mourinho would come to us. But he will because he can be with torres and gerrard. Of course! We should assume we're alluring because of 2 players, not the rest of the shitfest that is the board, funding and our league position.

And the fact Gerrard is now at his peak age, is hardly going to entice people is it? So Jose will deal with a decling Gerrard and Torres and no money with a new stadium continually promised.

I followed the portuguese league. One of my best mate is a portuguese Porto fan.
I was happy with Rafa, Id say he was number 3 in my list. But my first choice has always been Capello
It didnt work with Benitez, We need another better one.
It will be very tough to get Capello, a little easier to get Mourinho

Does going unbeaten at home for8 years count?
How about winning the title in every league he has managed in?
How about adapting to whatever league in his very first season?
How about winning the CL with a team in a smaller league?

When he won with the Chavs, he had the code for the Premiership Manager cheat for unlimited funds, unfortunately, we don't posess that here in Liverpool, and there was only really Man united to beat at the time, Arsenal were in decline and won fuck all since then, we actually finished above them more that under them. ( we are a big 3 team under Rafa not a big 4), unfortunatley time have changed Arsenal are getting stronger Man City have the cheat code for the unlimited funds, and Spurs and Aston Villa are in the mix too, could Maureen do it? I doubt it.

I think we are fucked until we get big bucks to spend on big players. Under G&H we have to sell to buy, and we can only really get one good player a season, not the 3 or 4 we actually need to get on Par with the teams challenging.

Oh no you didn't.

Downgrade our status? Excuse me? We're one of the biggest teams in the world and i fucking know that you pleb, however, when we're playing poorly (see how we lost yesterday?) and we have no money, we expect the best. Sometimes REALISM is key. We're no longer the all dominating team of yesteryear, we're now a top four side. Get out of the fucking past and look to the fucking future. We need to get a manager who'll instill passion in the players, not rely on his reputation. Jose played defensive football with quick counter attack. As did rafa. so how is getting someone in who relied on spending MILLIONS to win the league, going to push us forward.

now kindly fuck off back to whatever little cupboard filled with cum splattered images of souness you happen to live in
