I only head it once. All dadadas until the last four syllables... dadadada Torben Pieknik.

Right, I'm on a Blackberry (biotch !).

What is Brendan's avy ?

(If it's Lucas I will shit and fall back in it).

So, Kenny's first game in charge (how good does that sound?)

HIs team?

I'll go for:

----------------------------Pepe---------------------------

Johnson------Skrtel------------Agger-----------Aurelio

Cole-----------Meireles---------Gerrard----------Maxi

-----------------Kuyt------------Torres-----------------

Or maybe even a 4-3-3 with a Meireles (sitting)/Gerrard/Cole middle three and Maxi (or Babel) and Kuyt flanking Torres up front.

I'm hoping to see Pacheco on the bench alongside one other reserve/youth player.

I'm so excited about the game.

I think Thommo already let slip the team yesterday (if he is assistant)

Phil Thompson: FA Cup tie at Old Trafford may just prove a tonic for Liverpool FC

Comment (1)Recommend I KNOW we’re in a right mess at the moment but the daft thing is that it honestly would not surprise me if we went to Old Trafford on Sunday and got a result.

It’s a game for our strong characters and our best players and I’d like to see Martin Kelly in at right back with Glen Johnson playing on the right side in front of him.

I’d like to see Fabio Aurelio in at left back and Agger and Skrtel in the centre of defence. In midfield I’d like to see Stevie Gerrard paired with Raul Meireles if he is fit - Lucas if he is not - with Maxi Rodriguez on the left.

And up front I’d opt for Dirk Kuyt alongside Fernando Torres.

Dirk is an experienced international who will share the load up top and can set things up as he did for Torres with that pass for his opening goal against Chelsea.

I know a win would not suddenly make everything right - we cannot be a team that raises its game for the big ones but doesn’t do it against other opponents.

But a result at Old Trafford in the FA Cup third round would make everyone feel a fair bit better.

That'll do!

Has Thompson been confirmed yet? I'd be amazed if he isn't, given he's left Sky.

Fergie was in the press today, comparing the chances of us winning to that of Hereford beating Leeds! The patronising twat. I bet he choked on his cornflakes this morning when he heard that Kenny was back for this match.

Well this minute my thoughts goes to Howard Webb... Every time United loose the ref gets a totally undeserved and unbalanced abuse in the press by Fergie.

Can't see Fergie and Dalgish bromancing their way to the dugouts on Sunday, as Hodgson might have done

Two things:

1. Anyone, and I mean anyone who wanted us to lose this pre Hodgson going, needs their LFC fanship revoked.

2. Hereford v Leeds Fergie? Surely it was Newcastle? And we all know what happened there. So fuck off Ferguson, you horrible, horrible cunt. I hope we shove your words so far back down your throat they bite you on the arse on the way out.

which channel is it on? If its only ESPN then I have to cope with a shite stream for KDs return 🙁

Yeah, Newcastle. Sorry, that was me, not him. But anyway... he's still a cunt.

isn't it on the BBC?

Well I'm guessing if Thommo is his assistant, then that team he gave yesterday may be the starting line up?

Couldn't you just pretend it was him Bunny?

I hope we go something like this against Scum, attack them. Bit worried about centre mid, but personally I think Stevie should be played off Torres:

--------------------Reina--------------------
Kelly------Skrtel-------Agger-----Aurelio
Johnson---Lucas----Meireles---Cole/Maxi
-----------------Gerrard--------------------
----------------------Torres-----------------
