We've played well, first half. Everything's gone against us so far, but the game's not over. We have to show belief and play like we did against Arsenal in that first league match.

We need Torres to start playing though, and he's shown very little so far. We also need some luck.

I didn't expect to win the game but it's ridiculous that Webb has almost decided the game with two dubious decisions. Gerrard shouldn't have gone in like that but for a 'clean game', it was a yellow ... Not a red. It's made Kenny's next 3 games even harder but I like what I've seen so far bar the defensive scares we're having.

Kelly will hopefully be our full time RB ...

Agger - 6.5 - apart, maybe, from THAT error
Skrtel - 6.5 - good game
Kelly - 7.5 - impressive
Gerrard - 8 - ... and then, oh dear, never a red.
Meireles - 7 - great control and spreading the play
Lucas - 5.5 - not really in the game much and getting picked off, needs to wake up
Maxi - 5.5 - see Lucas
Kuyt - 6.5 - a better match but not creating enough
Torres - 5 - he's had half chances but lack of control has let him down

Funny, I though we have played better as a team than the individual scores might indicate.

Think Kelly is a much better defender than Johnson. Defends first unlike Johnson and is positionally better. Ignoring the Lucas comment as it's pointless.

Agreed. The penalty was a dive and the assistant (far better placed than Webb) was spot on not to give it, but having seen replays of Stevie's challenge from different angles I don't now think we'd have a provable case against that decision.

And yes, we do have a chance still. We've been the better side so far, despite the ref being their twelfth man.
