Can't believe no-one started one ! Doesn't this competition count ?!

1. Coutinho - was the impetus behind every attack as he jinked and squirmed his way past Matic and Mikel making them look impotent.

2. Lucas - was like the Duracell bunny, 4 of them all at once.

3. Skrtel - commanded and rocked the defence, thou shalt not pass !

It's impossible for me to choose who deserves 3rd place more. I'll just give it to Gerrard, because I thought he was excellent for 60 minutes, but just because he was subbed many people won't include him in the top 3.

Everybody had a good game - you could really perm any 3 from 11.

Coutinho - the best player on the pitch and then some. The things he do at this level is amazing. The only player we have who would walk right into the XI on every team in PL.
Sterling for the goal alone. Fucking amazing run from a player we sometimes regard as too erratic on the ball. Great to see.
Lucas - what a game. 2 shots at/on goal for Chelski. Largely thanks to this player. WOW!

62% possession for us. 19 -2 shots on goal!!!!! 19-2! Rarely has the special one received such a lesson on the pitch. Fucking wow!

Sterling - 20 years old, played up front against one of the best teams in the league and scored an excellent solo effort. He took Gary Cahill to the cleaners with that goal. I was roaring GO LEFT, GO LEFT, at the TV. He gave their defense the run around all night. He picked up the ball in tight positions and held onto it to allow our wide men advance up the field. Pressed from the front and was a menace all night.

Lucas - Welcome back Wonderman. I love him.

Coutinho - Excellent ball carrier, excellent player, just excellent all round.
 
I thought in this company and with us playing so well at a high tempo Gerrard got shown up for agility, speed of thought and fitness Im afraid. Surprised he gets a mention in this thread.

It could just as easily been 3 different players. It was our best performance this season. Even better than the Spurs game. We were extremely unlucky not to win it.
