I couldn't stand the constant cheating from Sterling (and the many replays of him cheating) that I had to step away in case i break the telly.

I haven't seen much of Sterling this season, so I was probably much more surprised by most on here, but my god he's shameless. The ridiculous trout leap that got VVD a booking - insane.

I would like to give a quick shout out to our midfield three tonight.
You could argue that if all our midfielders were fit none of them play today, but they threw their heart into everything, literally fought for everything and ran their absolute hearts out. You cant teach a player to WANT to leave every fucking ounce out there. All three of them should be really proud of that.

Back 5 and front three will get the plaudits, but fuck me their players will be having nightmares of them three chasing them down tonight.

They should just buy Fifa or Referees it would be simpler.

I very much enjoyed this ref cunting them off again and again. They got fuck all over the two legs. If i was their fans id be fucking raging. Mugged off by the refs, an ex player one of the best players over the two legs and a fucked up bus. Merry fucking christmas you cunts.

Haha, I want to use up all my remaining likes on this site on this post.

No, I want Roma in the final. They can be play the role of giant-killers for us. Let's get Bayern.

Yeah, we do much better as underdogs these days. Don't like the idea of our fairly tale vs theirs! I reckon we'll draw 'em though.

What a picture as Firmino's goal goes in - the whole forward line exactly where it should be: Firmino shooting from the left, so Salah in the middle and Mane to the right, perfect. I didn't even notice how right they all were at the time.

First half (bar Millie) they were shite. Wijnaldum backed off too much and bypassed. Ox peripheral

Second half, all 3 beasted

In this competition ONLY I am a true Dreamy Believer.

Love you, you cuddly little irish aussie xxx

If I was to be told before kickoff out of the two semis tonight a team was going to be knocked out after been 3 goals in front I knew it wouldn’t be us.

There were 100 little highlights like that tonight, the coaching and management team earning their stripes.
One I noticed was how quickly Oxlade-C and Milner dropped in at full back when the lads at FB chased on. Like seemless and still a tight line. I mean thats proper coaching and good stuff from the players.

Is there any way to set a gif of him rubbing his fucking head in the stands as a screensaver.
Because that would be a fucking pick me up to me every time I felt a bit blue
Then superimpose Hodgson beside him and have them take turns rubbing their stupid heads with the caption " Woy Pep? Woy?"
Okay Internet, do your thing.

I fucking love these lads, even developing a soft spot for moreno recently.

All hail the Egyption king, deadly fucking serious when I say I wouldnt sell him for £300M

I think that ref deserves a lot of credit. Admittedly he was dishing out cards like a Wigan Pier croupier on PCP, and got as many decisions wrong as he got right, but he didn't allow Guardioala's much publicised dislike of him to change how he refereed at all, and simply made it obvious he fucking hates him too, disallowed two goals and then sent Cuntiola off, just for a laugh

For people who briefly flirted with the idea that his legs are gone, Milner has been our best player over the 3 games and in the space of 7 days.

Give him a new contract already.

Yeah I thought we needed to protect him (and we will) but he's been an utter star this past week. Awesome. Will be an integral part of our PL and CL winning team.

Remember in the first half when I was saying we just needed some composure and we'd take advantage of this City team? Klopp found a way to get us that composure, and we did exactly that.

Thoughts and then ratings:
  • Ref was shite - for both teams. Pep will probably moan like the cunt he is, but there were a lot of strange calls.
  • I know some will call it mad, but it felt like the 1st half strategy was 'soak up' the pressure. We'll give them 45 minutes to give it 110%, tire out and we'll get them in the 2nd half ... You could see in the 2nd half, they tired rather quickly and we started carving them up.
  • Sterling is a fucking whopping thundercunt. Diving little cunt - good player mind you, and great defensive work on his part.
  • Coutinho - enjoy watching us in the semis you little prick. Hope the back is 100%.
  • Team really has the look and feel of a team - players like each other, work for each other and communicate brilliantly.
Ratings

Karius - 7 - Nothing to do on the goal, and I guess their 2nd 'goal' was his fault, but I thought overall, for the pressure cooker of a 1st half, he was mature and very vocal. Made the easy saves look easy.

TAA - 7 - not as dominant as last week, but with less protection. Played a solid game ... growing up this lad.

Lovren - 9 - MotM. Why can't we see this every game? Dominating performance ...

VvD - 6 - He looked a bit in awe in the 1st half ... that goal pissed him off. He was really good in the 2nd half though sometimes he seems a bit too calm. Card was a joke.

Robinson - 7 - solid solid performance.

Milner - 7.5 - Bossed the midfield, whether we were under the cosh in the 1st half or on the ascendancy in the 2nd half.

Ox - 7 - Really impressed with him today - he put in a fucking shift defensively (including a great block). Much better in the 2nd half

Gini - 7 - Ghostish in the 1st half, everywhere in the 2nd half.

Salah - 7 - wasteful but such an important goal. He just scores ... for fun. 39 goals. Amazing.

Mane - 7 - really mature performance from him. Two very rash tackles in the beginning ,and he's on a card and played smart footy.

Firmino - 9 - I'm giving him an extra point for that lung bursting track back to get the ball of De Bruyne. NO other striker in football does that, and instead of a counter attack and potentially being down 2-0, we attack and within minutes, 1-1. Such a team player, and what a goal.
