Malaysian XI match thread

Ibe's playing his way into the starting line up vs Stoke on this tour but who to make way for him?

I wouldn't be surprised if Rodgers plays a middle 3 of Henderson/Milner /Coutinho this freeing up a wide forward slot.

I'm not sure what the players are learning from this game, apart from the fact they're not doing the basics right, and they shouldn't be learning that at this stage.

Origi is as shite as Sterling was in his first year but the raw materials are there. Are we going to be patient with him too? I'm not sure he'll have enough game time either.

Lovren has had 4 piss easy headers off corners, and stacked all of them. Thank fuck as a defender he's not expected to head the ball with any accuracy, just clear it.
Benteke woulda had 4 goals.

We weren't great, but we wasn't set up to be. Missing a lot of our better players, and starting Origi upfront at this stage in his development is pretty pointless, much like when we used to play sterling up top. But, it was only a friendly (except the tackle on Ibe) and we didn't lose.
Next game we should see the big guns out.

They weren't even up against a proper team. The Malaysian XI was also a second choice side managed by one of most clueless managers this country has ever had.

Hopefully our manager will, some of our fans wont.
The kid will be class.

It was an awful game though. The Oz games were boss but we could have done better in Thailand and in Malaysia.
Not good enough planning wise from the club.

A few positives though. I hope we can continue to develop the Clyne/Ibe right side.
That has insane potential.

IMHO that Malaysian 11 is better than the first choice national team thanks to the imports. I agree that "Pablo" Dollah is one the most clueless managers if not the most.
