I suspect you & Dantes may be on opposite ends of the very same spectrum.
 
Coutinho money has already been spent or reserved on VVD and Keita. Hope I'm proved wrong but I'll be surprised if I am.
 
Have to say it's a great touch by the club offering 50 pound vouchers for any shirt bought with Coutinho on the back this season

Could be, I think its more that Klopp wants Lemar and if he cant get him now - he'll wait until the summer.
I have a feeling We'll do anything we can to get him now though.
 
We have to have good look at the whole midfield over the summer. Klopp might gamble on Lallana getting the nod in Phils absent and rotate as he has done up to now. Huge gamble but he will not bring a second choice I guess. I am slightly worried about the midfield as it seem it takes some time to develop into Klopp system for midfielders, and the world cup year doesn't offer much time.

Not cos we're so good at shit like that, but cos I can't see Klopp allowing it when considering how carefully he's rotated our players to avoid January burnout.

I'd be interested to see how much Mahrez has played in the last month. If it's a fair bit then you can bet he'll be bedded in really slowly.

VvD and Mahrez now followed by Keita, Lemar and new goalie in the summer I can live with.We do need to add some quality in the forward area to fill the coutie void now.I don't think we can do better than Mahrez and he will fit the system.

Klopp is fsg dream, he won't be rushed into making a signing. So the above will probably happen, over the next 3 transfer windows based on our current performance.
 
Pearce said in his article in the echo that reports of a move for Mahrez are premature.
That to me suggests that we may go in for him later if we don't get our primary target, which seems to be Lemar

Although Pearce is a mouthpiece for the club and could be telling the fans what they want to hear on behalf of the club I still trust his information over SSN

50M for mahrez would be bargain in todays market. But anything more ... no as i think we need to get our first choice.

We have potential enough in midfield. I guess its that spaniard then from real madrid.

We aren't going to sign anyone in this window to replace Coutinho.

VVD came for £75m and that was set up and announced so that there wasn't a huge meltdown when the already sanctioned Coutinho sale was leaked.

Yeah. It also could be after the summer Van Dijk debacle we're treading very carefully in terms of controlling our media assets (who helped create a situation where Southampton felt railroaded and dug their heels in). That's why I actually wonder about the stony silence from those closest to the club. If there was nothing at all in it, wouldn't they be saying so? As it is, they seem to be looking the other way with their hands in their pockets, whistling tunelessly.
