Magic to Disappear?

Depends on individual taste, Kristian. Personally I'm not a big fan of sweet/ish sauces with meat (except maybe Hoi Sin sauce with duck, but that's more specialised). Your guests might love it, but if they're like me they're going to prefer something more savoury. Good luck.

People can disagree over his crossing ability, but a majority of crosses are ridiculously overhit. I can accept that from a fullback, but from a winger? Piss take
What difference does it make whether it's a full-back or a winger making the cross? Particularly if it's the same person.

Finnan was miles better at crossing than Pennant, for instance, but was he a better winger?

Well, yes, all right, he probably was. But... um... what was my point again?

Gracy is gravy. Sauce is something else and if you're serving "pepper stakes" then pepper sauce might be an option.

Pennant was a very good crosser of the ball.

I can only disagree Anita. He was very good at making lots of crosses, but very few of them went where they should have done. Although admittedly it didn't help that we usually had a maximum of one player in the box to aim for.

In America, presumably?

Everywhere I thought - gravy is made from the juices that are produced during the cooking process. You can add something like wine to vary the taste a little but that's about it.

Sauce, on the other hand, can be anything as long as it's runny.

And a good one I might add. Cheers.

Right, but only in America do they spell it with a C...

To sum up, Johnson is not a good defender but he makes up with it by being good getting forward, when he is not any good getting forward as has been the case this year he is not worth having in the team.
He looks half a yard slower than he did this time last year I wonder if his kneee injury fucked him up a bit.
The answer............Get Kelly in and sell him for lots of money ....................next

Alongside Reina, Carra, Agger, Gerrard, Cole, Kuyt and Torres he should be one of the first names on the teamsheet.
Ok, so he's defender who's main weakness is that he cannot defend. We could push him up to RW because he used to be fast and couldn't cross the Mersey in a ferry. And he should be amoung the first 8 names picked to play for us each week.

He's a legend.

Johnson was our best player for the first two months of last season. He looked truly world class, so let's not write him off just yet.

Xabi Alonso went through many average/ropey spells with us, and we all know how much we miss him. If a player has shown quality in the past, it's important not to get hysterical. He'll come back, I'm sure of it.

Part 1: Agreed.

Part 2: But Xabi never looked like he either didn't care or had totally forgotten how to play the game. Poor performances I can live with, but lack of effort or desire, I cannot.

I could be wrong, but I don't think he's been especially lazy.

He's just hasn't been playing intelligent football.

Either way, I hope he sorts himself out ASAP.

There's no way that thicko Johnson will be capable of even getting a basic grasp of Spanish by January anyway.

Lets get rid. He's brainless as a defender and we could potentially get big money for him. I'd definitely rather have the money to spend than the player.

is he thick? i don't think i've ever heard him speak tbh.
Trying to rob a bog seat qualifies as being a bit thick.

Plus anyone who thinks that hair is a good idea is clearly licking windows for fun

I know people who went to school with him. Not only is he thick as shit but he's also a cunt apparently.

I suppose this is another one to add to the list of players I like and rate, who split forums, cop abuse, 'should be sold', blah blah blah

I'll add him to the list that includes Riise, Alonso, Kuyt, Bellamy, Babel, Ziege, Garcia, Kewell....

Ah well.

But yeah, he's started the season poorly, however, for 3 months at the start of last season, he was superb for us, and before that excellent for Pompey.

I still like Magic

He's an excellent player going through a rough spell in a system that doesn't play to his strengths.

We'd be mad to let him go.

You really liked Ziege as a Liverpool player? I thought he was fucking rubbish for us. Which was annoying because I liked the *idea* of him so much (and that cool name). Agree with the rest of your list, apart perhaps from Dirk and Kewell (who was another I thought would be great and was actually pretty shite). Oh, and Babel, obv.
