It's not great position is it? In fairness though no one could have planned very well for this set of circumstances.
However, if it is one thing Rafa is good at, it is one-off back against the wall matches, and these sort of games can end up as being a kick starts, and more than once we have seen unlikely heroes born, and people slotting into positions that we would not expect.

Voronin is not without ability and has some footballing intelligence but he lacks that ever so precious commodity that can make such a difference at the top level which is extreme pace. For that reason, he is unlikely to play regularly enough to produce his best form for Liverpool however, if he plays tonight, I'm sure we'll all be wishing him the best.

Now an egged face is not an issue, as I said he is pretty hopeless, another who should be sent to a dark cellar below Rafa's office in Melwood never to be seen again.
