Luis Suarez pwned by the Lizards and is Staying, and has said sorry to BR and teammates

Lad who's given me snippets over the years, his source is someone who was on the medical side of things at the club a few years back (who's also close to one of our players). I've not had alot of info off him tbf, he's been right about a few things but that was way back when Rafa joined.
sounds about right and if true fair play to Rodgers.

Is this after a few weeks not playing, a long haul flight and double training session in 2 days?
FFS thats all a load of bollix. None of that would prevent a player from moving on the pitch. He was like a statue and more like Torres in his final days when we didn't have the ball than Suarez.

Plus he play 18 bastarding minutes. Jetlag me hole. He was being a sulky bitch.

Thank fuck for Falcao and cavani going for bucket loads eh?

Also, If I were Suarez id not touch the Gooners with a barge pole

In fact if Suarez or a player/s of a similar calibre were bought in to replace him , I'm not sure how much their squad holds over ours.

They need him to cement cl football let alone challenge for any silverware..

- Surely EVERYONE see's it that way

Apart from the bit where he ripped the arse out of their player and set up the second goal on a plate?

He didn't score! You're suggesting a lack of effort. He was on the pitch 15mins and set up a goal with the one real opportunity he had. I think most players can be forgiven for looking rusty at this stage.

Funny how 5-6 other players have typically plodded through their preseasons but no one's decided to be a body language expert about it.

He actually set up Aspas with another great chance and when on the ball he was excellant, just his normal movement and workrate off the ball wasn't just off it was gone completely.

I thought the workrate from the rest was actually quiet good.

I'm not averse to receiving 55,000,001 pounds from the Arse, but who would we buy with all the money in the world that would be an adequate replacement? (Given that City, Chelsea, PSG and Monaco seem to have bought the universe's strikeforce between them)

Any ideas?

My thoughts exactly maybe one of the top scorers in holland ???

I really hope that the clause doesn't end up making us look foolish but I have to say the Henry Tweet and Rodgers last interview are spot on. I'm not worried either way, stay or go. I think he would be a smash hit at Arsenal as well so if they want him in earnest they should put their money where there mouth is.

60M +1 pound.... nice touch....

Are we really that far away from Arsenal on the pitch? The table says so but I'm not so sure we are nor can I see why tbh... it's a fairly poor bunch of teams in the premiership right now, if we can play throughout the season as we did after Christmas we can be there or thereabouts, it's very open. 1 more quality addition could be enough.

Looks good (and also does not look/sound like a prick).
Any chance we'll get him? Surprised if there aren't others in for him yet

Thing with Arsenal as a club is while their floor is quite high, their ceiling is very low. While the bottom could fall out of our campaign though, there is a reasonable chance that BR can make this club a title contender a couple seasons from now if the money keeps being spent smartly. Spurs are similar to that regard if they can hold on to AVB, but I just don't see Arsenal fulfilling such ambitions as long as they as the culture there stays as it is.

Here's some fourth place celebration pictures to remind us how ridiculous they are...

James Pearce Liverpool Echo
'Suarez was one of the last Players back in the dressing room, after staying to sign autographs, and chatting with the Melbourne players.

Maybe he a horrible cunt because he wasn't THE last one?

Clearly saying his goodbyes #duh

What's the point you two are trying to make ?

You don't need to have even seen his body language to know he wants to leave.

I could care less what he wants - I want what's best for the club, and I think (and I may be wrong) that him with our club is better than him with Arsenal (I don't think Madrid want, or need, a second striker as they technically have two - Ronaldo & Benzema) ... I also am not very confident we'll replace him adequately.

I think we need to be realistic. Im no body language expert but looking at him yesterday it was quite clear that he didnt want to be there, and I doubt very much it was because of jetlag or two training sessions.

While BR insist that we're in control of the situation and slapped a 50M price tag on Suarez, what he's failed to do is stamp a time limit. Maybe he is holding out some hope that nobody meets the price.

Sell the lad for 50M or as close to it as possible and be done with it. Arsenal won't suddenly become worldbeaters. They have a weak mentality and have the trophies to match.

Suarez doesn't though does he.... it's fucking suicide, he would massively improve them.

improve them up front yes, their midfield is still a weakness in the team. Maybe they will get Fellaini but I don't care either way.

How we spend the Suarez loot will determine where we end up. Get in a top striker who can do the business. All is not doom and gloom. Yes Carroll was a panic buy to replace Torress but we have time on our side. The Transfer Committee have done a good job thus far and BR knows exactly what we need.

I don't like the idea of us selling to them, as they are about as direct a rival as we have next season, but if they want to spend £50m they'll probably spend it on someone, Suarez or not. In *theory* we could be weakening them, relative to their other uses of that money, if we force them to 'overspend' on Suarez.

Bit of a stretch perhaps, but it's still a consideration.
