Luis Suarez pwned by the Lizards and is Staying, and has said sorry to BR and teammates

They're probably thinking "Hey this is Liverpool we're dealing with, wait till the last minute then offer them 8M and a signed photo of Antonio Nunez. They'll well go for it!"
And we'll probably be tempted.

Thinking on the negative side here... What happens to a player like Higuain when he loses his form, or some little muscle injury somewhere screws up his shooting by a few inches? What would such a player offer under those circumstances?
I'd prefer a player that has certain other qualities to go with a decent goal scoring record.

I wouldn't have such reservations if we were certain of getting a top fee for Suarez and Higuain was younger and cheaper.
But a direct replacement? I really don't like it.
My issue with higuain is that when he goes through a barren spell, like all strikers do, what does he offer to the team? Rodgers likes players that work hard for the team and can play across the front 3. Higuain does neither.

No matter how you look at it though, Suarez's ratio is terrible. More than 8 shots per goal is a little terrifying...

Not when he shoots from everywhere including his own half, roasts CBs and goalkeepers all day and makes tons of his own chances. He just relentlessly pounds the opposition from every angle. That's what makes him great. A good example was the goal at Norwich away when he missed a sitter, the crowd were giving him the toot and he nicked the ball of their CB and buried it with the outside of his right foot seconds later.
Anyway, sell for £50m and get cash and spend half on Eriksen and the other half on a top class CB and we're away.

Yup, people are seriously trying be dismissive of how good he is, he might need a few chances, but he more often than not gets them. He's just scored a bucket load FFS.

Quite obviously we're a better football team with Suarez but not a better club.

His antics bring bad publicity and his long absences don't help his and the clubs ambitions.

CL clubs don't appear to be queuing up do they, and before anyone says it; how would leaving the matter until the end of a transfer window change anything?

Maybe the Lizards want to leave it til the end of the transfer window, so buying clubs get desperate & pay over the odds like a certain club did for a ponytail one January

I wonder if we had Andy Carroll or David Ngog upfront instead, where we'd be now.

I think you've both got a point to be honest, the playing down of him because everyone's pissed off is unreal, he's fucking brilliant. But yeah, he's moaning about where we've finished, but if he didn't cause the distractions then surely we could only have finished better off overall across both bans (even though our record is decent without him). He's acting as though he's untouchable and he's played no part in our issues over the last two seasons, which is just more blame shifting bollocks. He seems to think he gave us a season after we backed him against Evra, so we're square.

He's a self obsessed little shit, the sooner Liverpool fans and the board realise it the better.

No player is bigger than the club. I'd rather win something playing the right way than have our name further dragged through the mud once again. Its bad enough the way it is with the media and our club..... another season of him acting like even more of a prick because he doesn't really want to be here is surely intolerable?

Sell him now whilst he is still a sellable asset before he fucks his value or we cant even get rid of the crazy fool.....

Well, wherever he goes, I hope we face whichever team are paying his wages and make sure we kick the cunt that high in the air, when he lands, he'll have to be surgically removed from the Anfield turf by his front teeth.

With Ibrahimovic apparantly leaving PSG and Gameiro aswell. I Wonder if PSG could come in for him?
As long as he doesnt end up with another English team I'm not bothered though.

Suarez reminds me a bit of Tevez.

But at least Tevez apologized and later made up with the fans, club and manager.

Here's hoping that Suarez will eventually wake up to the fact that his attitude and what he's doing will not come back to haunt him one day.

The way this all came out is rather weird, almost surreal. I can't help thinking it's all a ruse to get us negotiating with the top clubs, he's a very valuable bargaining chip. It's also distracting the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea in the transfer market, and at the same time the media are running around like bluearse flies. He certainly knows how to get himself on the back pages of all the rags, even if it is as the panto bad guy.

I'd like him to stay, of course, he's an incredible talent, but if he does go, then I will have no hard feelings for him.

If he comes back from his hols, and signs a new contract with us, will you all still get behind him?
