Luis Suarez pwned by the Lizards and is Staying, and has said sorry to BR and teammates

He's obviously just waiting to see if real or psg offer us big money.

Like we are really. I imagine he'll probably know about any move only a day before we do, but he has the advantage of knowing exactly what his intentions are.

Nah fuck that mate. Lakaku looks a great prospect but Suarez is our best player by a mile, is in his peaks years and we're struggling to keep up with the top 5 or 6 teams as it is.

To see him in a Real Madrid shirt would be bad enough but Arsenal or Chelsea or another Prem League team would imo be the final nail in the coffin for LFC. Might seem way OTT but that's the way I see it.

Lukaku actually scored goals at a higher pace than Suarez did in terms of minutes played by a pretty decent amount, and in a worse squad too, and did this in around half the number of shots per game. He also had 4 assists to Suarez's 5. Passing percentage was a bit lower (4%), and the key passes per game were also down, but Lukaku wins significantly more aerial duels, and is dispossessed/turns over the ball far less.

So with Lukaku we lose the passing aspect, but gain a more physical and clinical player who is cheaper and younger, ideally plus some cash. Could do a lot worse tbh.

I'd take Lukaku in a heartbeat but in a swap with Suarez? Not a chance. Suarez is one of the top 5 footballers in Europe.

We mightn't be able to challenge Chelsea next season but that's the aim in the next few years and by giving them Suarez would make that even more difficult. We gave them Torres which was painful enough.

Lukaku is a completely different player to Suarez so it's not as straightforward as that to compare the two.

He is a very good player though.

His position is now untenable for me. He has continuously disrespected us to the press. Let's hope a bidding war starts and we get a high amount as soon as possible.

You can say either top 5 in BPL or top 10-15 in the world, but certainly not top 5 in the world.

So July 21st is probably the deadline the club have given for a am offer to come in by otherwise he joins up with the rest of the squad for pre season

Yeah seems like it. I don't think the Club will put a deadline on when a deal can be done though. They leaked the bid from Arsenal in what you'd think is a ploy to get a bidding war going.

There is no deadline. He wants to leave and appears to have killed any relationship he may have had with the club and its fans by whoring himself out and eventually deflecting any whoring on to his agent.

I hope we get top dollar and we meet him in the champs in a few seasons and Agger gives him the Torres treatment.

So the question remains, do we need to replace Suarez now that we have Sturridge, Borini and Aspas who can all play upfront?

I personally don't think we need to do that. But if we have to I'd go for Benteke or Jovetic.

There's question marks over Sturridge's level of consistency and injury problems.

Borini's never had a proper run in the side and also has a history of having injury problems.

Aspas is relatively unknown.

I'd say we'd definitely need another striker if Suarez goes.

Quite right. So in that case I'd go for Jovetic, a player who is comfortable upfront, behind the striker or on either flanks.

What a hoot.

Michael Owen has told talkSPORT that Liverpool must keep hold of Luis Suarez if they’re to finish in a Champions League place next season.
The Reds have turned down a £30million bid for the Uruguayan striker earlier this week and face a fight to keep the 26-year-old at Anfield, with Real Madrid and Chelsea also interested in his services.
And former Liverpool striker Owen claims next season’s expectations for Brendan Rodgers’ side rely on whether the ex-Ajax man is still on Merseyside.
“If they’re going to make that jump to the top three in the league then keeping Luis Suarez is key,” he told Drive Time. “Adding a few players is important though.
“It’s certainly worrying to hear all the speculation, especially when agents come out and say things.
“If you’re a Liverpool fan you’re going to worry that you’ll lose your best player.”

If he goes (which he will) he will be replaced like for like i'm sure..

I'd be very impressed if we replaced Suarez with a like for like

As it'd mean - cunty Torres replaced by awesome Suarez and cunty Suarez replaced by someone else awesome.

There won't have been many instances in the world of football where succession has been so instantaneous and strong

Its a toughy tbh. He's on of the top players in the world on his day, but at the same time we could turn out to be a better team if the 45-50 mill is successfully invested.

I'm tired of the constant media shite and he's being a proper dickhead now.

A.Madrid managed it by replacing Aguero with Falcao.

They seem to have gone a different route this season though by buying Villa and Baptistao (though he could turn out to be a very shrewd purchase).

*WARNING* twitter bollocks from an "itk" *WARNING*

Wenger is gonna bid for Suarez again

If all that matters to him is being in the Champion league then he can fuck off to Arsenal the tippy tappy bellends. It'll only be a few years before the whinney moaning cunt will suggest he wants to win trophies.

I reckon Arsenal might go as high as 45m or so in next week (probably 2 more bids to get there). That's a lot to turn down.

It'll also smoke out any other interest (Napoli, Madrid, PSG etc).
