Luis Suarez pwned by the Lizards and is Staying, and has said sorry to BR and teammates

I've read that extract half a dozen times now and I don't get the impression that Rodgers was accusing anyone of actively attempting to sabotage what the club's doing. The point I read him as making is simply that concentrating media attention on Luis Suarez, thereby obliging him (Rodgers) and the club to do the same in order to field those enquiries, is not helpful to the club overall, so he's not going to play that game any more.

Breaking news! Sky have confirmed Suarez is training with the 1st team squad! I repeat Suarez is training with the 1st team squad!!!!

#whogivesafuck

We are at least making it difficult for him to flee... look at the spikes on that fence, tall as men, and much more spikey!!

Nah, I just didn't recognise the barbed wire for what it was.

I don't ever remember being barbed wire there when I was a kid.

That sad there were no wheely bins to stand on, we had to take it in turns to get on each others shoulders.

What would Dunk do without wheelie bins eh?

Forward Luis Suarez trained with Liverpool's first-team squad on Friday according to Sky sources, after apologising to his team-mates for his conduct this summer.
The Uruguay international had been frozen out of first-team sessions after publicly demanding a transfer but the rift between player and club now appears be closing.
Suarez will definitely not feature in Saturday's Premier League opener at home to Stoke. He has six games left to serve of the 10-game ban he received for biting Branislav Ivanovic of Chelsea last April.
Despite his oft-stated desire to play Champions League football and a pair of bids from Arsenal, Liverpool have remained firm in their stance that he is not leaving and it appears increasingly likely that he will still be at Anfield when his suspension is completed.
Sky Sports reporter Vinny O'Connor said: "Luis Suarez has apologised to (manager) Brandan Rodgers and apologised to his team-mates over his general conduct.
"He has started his re-integration into the Liverpool first team and trained with them on Friday.
"Over a week ago, Brendan Rodgers said he would need an apology from Luis Suarez, as would the fans and his team-mates, after the apparent attempt by the player to force a move away from Anfield. It appears that the apology has come.
"Good news, in many ways, for Liverpool Football Club. It looks like things are beginning to settle down and Suarez is ready to fight for his first-team place."

This is a MASSIVE win imo.

If he stays we look strong as fuck & he will not shirk or sulk cos he loves winning & it's a wc year.

If he leaves we can demand more cash as we've made it clear we'll make him stay if we don't like the figure.

Happy days.

I am really not sure why Arsenal scums on twitter are abusing Liverpool. They made a bid for our player, tried to get our player for a lower price which is understandable and we stood strong. We were protecting our interest. If the Arsenal board had done this every time City flashed their cash at them, maybe they would have won a cup or two.

Part of it will be disappointment at not having landed Suarez but part of it, I'm guessing, stems from general anger and concern at the situation they now face. Having failed to spend, that club is now pretty darn short of players - especially up front - with the new season about to start.

I understand that. But they should be channelizing that anger at Wenger and the board. All we did is protect our interest. In fact we should be the one feeling angry as they tried to take advantage of an information which they should not have known.

Certainly Wenger and the board, especially Gazidis as the man at the top, should be their targets, but I expect that'll happen soon enough. Meanwhile this is easier for them. And yes, for sure the Arse have acted shabbily, but I don't think our hands have always been 100% clean in the past.
