Luis Suarez pwned by the Lizards and is Staying, and has said sorry to BR and teammates

I would take it.
If they are serious about spending 50m this summer if we dont sell to them they buy Benzema and Suarez goes to Madrid, theyre still strengthened.
Or we sell to Barca and Barcelona sell Sanchez and Pedro to Arsenal.
Or we sell to PSG and Zlatan goes to say Dortmund and Dortmund let Lewandowski go and he goes to Arsenal.
This strengthening a rival thing is just nonsense in my book. Its not like a club (eg Arsenal) will say 'Oh we couldnt get Suarez with our 50m, fuck it i say we put our checkbook away'

In my eyes id rather they took Suarez (who will miss 6 games to start with) who will give them bans, trouble, disharmony and grief, and we got eg: Benzema and Eriksen.
Than we say FUCK you to them and sell to Madrid and Arsenal pick up two players who could have strengthened us and we have to go even further down the list as ANOTHER champions league team has taken players we wanted. If Arsenal dont sign Suarez we will lose one or two potential targets.

That said we arent selling to Arsenal so its irrellevant. Id take the best offer and sell the wab and worry about our strengthening rather than someone elses.

I like the sentiment at the end but right now I think that's something we're just going to have to aspire to.

I know the examples of players Arsenal can get are just that - examples - but generally speaking I'd be surprised if they were able to attract 'name' players and even if they do, they won't be as good as Suarez. And it's even more unlikely that we'll be missing out because we're not involved at that end of the market anyways.

A few people have questioned Wenger's motivation for signing Suarez - I know Macca for example has on a number of occasions stated that he wouldn't fit in at Arsenal - but has anyone considered that perhaps Wenger is buying Suarez for more than just his footballing ability? What is the one thing that everyone has been saying Arsenal have been missing? Fight. Suarez can give them that and perhaps Rodgers is not alone in wanting to bring more of a winning mentality into the club.

I'm not sure I can see a reconciliation much before Christmas if he stays - for that reason I'd take the 50m, let him be Arsenal's headache and reinvest.

50m is a lot given his increasingly obvious characterological flaws.

This is nuts. There's bugger all time for either them or us now to get deals done for any of those players anyway, and even less likelihood. Otherwise the Arse would have gone for that already, instead of flogging a dead horse with Suarez and making themselves look such losers over it. For all the baggage, Suarez is one of the few players who can be described as world class without exaggerating. Selling him to the Arse would be immensely damaging not just because they'd be getting such a player but also because of the message it would send out, namely that we were prepared to let that kind of quality go to our nearest competitor. Precious little use strengthening ourselves if we give our closest rival a leg up in the process.

Like i said JJ its not going to happen, but if they offered 50m id keep them waiting while i secured and agreed deals for the likes of Muriel or Eriksen or whomever and then let the horrible snidey cunt go and rubber stamp our deals.

Ten years ago Suarez would not have been thought of as anywhere near world class. Let's not pretend this is like Litmanen or Fowler we're losing here. His contribution to the team is entirely replaceable and in fact can be improved upon.

Suarez takes the ball off Coutinho, keeps hold of it, and greedily tries to dribble his way towards goal so he can take a shot. More often than not he misses. We finished 7th for a reason. If instead we sign someone who has the sense to give the ball back to Coutinho and makes a run, we'll be better off over the course of a season.

It's not an Americanism, we've used it in Liverpool since I was knee high to a grasshopper to describe men being a fucking tart & other things that are gay.
Puff, Queer, Fruit, Nancyboy etc English.
Fag 'Its so gay' etc American.

'Ha ha youre gay!' - English.

'Its gay' - AMERICAN

Its pretty obvious that we need to sell the cuntbag. But we cant and wont sell him to Arsenal.
Its suicide for our own CL chances. 50 mill or not, its a no go regardless.

Offer from abroad - hell yes! If not then fuck it.

I really hope they do, I'd be interested to see your stance when we don't.

I'd be pleasantly surprised. I don't want him to go to that shower of shite. Let's hope the owners mean it this time around, because it was posturing over the Torres deal. Every player has his price, after all.

We will never ever be offered 50M for this cunt again after this summer.

We'll do well to get 30M next year onwards.

We need CL football next season - the only way to attract top quality players without it is to pay inflated wages and even then, that doesn't always work.

I don't think £50m for Suarez this season is worth it, given the time left in the transfer window and the players that are available and likely to sign for us.

If we can ensure CL football next season, I'd take a smaller fee for Suarez, as we'd be a more attractive team for potential signings.

A few people have questioned Wenger's motivation for signing Suarez .....

How about ruling one of your two competitors for 4th out of the running (and if Spurs lose Bale it could set them back a season or two as well) ? Whilst increasing your own chances of challenging for a Top 3 ?

Phooey. I loved both Robbie and Litmanen but the idea that they were better players than Suarez is moonshine. So is the idea that our finishing 7th had anything to do with him - except in the sense that if it hadn't been for him we'd have been a lot further down the table.

I don't think any of these Machiavellian plots have any substance in fairness. Wenger is not going to spend 40-50M on a player to destabilize a team that finished 7th last season. His focus will be on strengthening Arsenal.
