Luis Diaz

Diaz reminds me of that Latin American striker in the first season of Ted Lasso - coming in with great attitude and bags of skill, puts a smile on everyone’s face and kind of instantly lifts any lingering tensions in the squad with his relentless positivity. Once again, thank you, Spurs!

I think he's finding out that the Premier league you need more stamina week in, week out vs the Portuguese top league.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him rested completely for the FA Cup game.

A full pre-season and I don't think he'll run himself into the ground half as much.

You could hear the pain in Nevilles voice when he said "It looks like Liverpool have found another one". He knows.

Honestly he looks fucking top drawer. Our best player last night (outfield 😉

Really stretched the play time and again. If it makes Mane raise his game it's also big news

Long may his honeymoon continue

I went and had a read of write ups of yesterday's match in the Columbian press again, they're all really proud of him.

Two things 1) It would be nice to have a press like theirs. It reminds me of ours 20 odd years ago. Actual clever people writing interesting shit and not blowing everything up for clicks and likes. 2) They all call Diaz 'the peasant' or 'the farmer' and I wanna know why.

I mean, he's been great so far, but i'd like him to get amongst the goals/assists a bit more. Clear cut chances he's not had the most.

You seriously missed all the articles on how he grew up in one of the poorest areas of Colombia?

We’ll probably not see the best of him until he’s had a proper pre-season with the team and coaches, going through all the repeated drills and tactics.
Considering he was a late Jan signing and doesn’t speak the language, he’s been absolutely brilliant.

I think i said it in the match thread. He has the Suarez sticky feet, looks great so far.

Not to be disrespectful to the original front 3 but it feels a bit like the impact of Diaz has highlighted a drop off from them compared to a few years ago.
