Ludicrous Rumours P2

Wow. If true, does this mean we've kicked Southampton and the van Dijk deal into touch, or are we going for both?

Looks like Lazio and/or De Vrij's agent trying to force Chelsea's hand. I'd be surprised if it was us bidding for him.

You may or may not see a denial from us, depending on what we want Southampton to think.

De Vrij is a right sided centreback isn't he, while VVD is a leftie? Could we be going for 2 centrebacks and play 3 at the back next season?

Liverpool plot move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Emre Mor: Jurgen Klopp is an admirer

LIVERPOOL are considering a move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Emre Mor, according to reports.

Mor, 19, was strongly linked with a move to Liverpool last summer with Jurgen Klopp apparently tracking his progress.
But the Reds missed out on the Turkey international after he opted to join Borussia Dortmund from FC Nordsjaelland.
The youngster signed a five-year contract to keep him at the club until 2021.
But he struggled to make a breakthrough at Dortmund in his debut season after making just 19 appearances with only five Bundesliga starts to his name.
The Lying Rag claim Dortmund are willing to loan him out next season in a bid to get regular minutes under his belt.

Liverpool have been offered the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund youngster Emre Mor.
And Liverpool could now reignite their interest in Mor with Borussia Dortmund offering Jurgen Klopp the chance to sign him.
The Lying Rag say the German boss is now weighing up a loan move for Mor with a view to signing him permanently.
Klopp has already been making waves in the transfer window with Dominic Solanke agreeing to join from Chelsea when his contract expires on July 1.
Solanke has apparently agreed a £20,000-a-week contract at Anfield and will initially go into Liverpool's under-23 side.

Liverpool have been offered the chance to sign Borussia Dortmund ace Emre Mor
However, it has not all been plain sailing for the Reds after they suffered embarrassment in their pursuit of Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk.
Liverpool made an illegal approach for the defender with Klopp supposedly meeting Van Dijk for secret talks.
But they have now officially ended their interest in signing Van Dijk after apologising for their alleged attempts to bring him to Merseyside.
The Kop boss is keen to revamp his squad as he looks to mount a Premier League title challenge and progress to the Champions League group stage.
But in order to mix it with Europe's elite once again Liverpool will have to win a play-off tie to be contested in August

Ludicrous .. or not. Seems like United are adding Lindelof and Keane to compete with Bailly as their CB pairing. I wonder what 6CM would have said if they were our two new CBs. Up in arms that they weren't 'world class' ?

I know it's very early days, but so far I'm getting a VERY bad feeling about the transfer business we will do vs the likes of Chelsea, City, United and even Arsenal.

Yeah, the van Dijk business was bad. But the transfer window isnt even open yet. And so far the only signings that have been made are Kolasinac (Arsenal) and Bernardo Silva (City) and Ederson (City). Utd missed out on Griezmann and have released Zlatan.

Not much to be worried from so far.....

5 JUNE 2017 • 8:28AM
Jürgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, is ready to make a move for Alexandre Lacazette, the Lyon forward, ahead of Premier League rivals Manchester United.
Lacazette had hoped to join Atlético Madrid, however a transfer ban on the Spanish club means the France international will have to look elsewhere if the 26-year-old wants to leave his hometown club.
After scoring 37 goals last season, the £50 million-rated Lacazette is, according to the Express, now top of Klopp's shopping list.
Despite saying he wants Lacazette to stay at the club, Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has admitted that the player's future is 'under scrutiny'.
“We will have to meet with Alex again," Aulas said. “We will have to see what will happen in the future, but today the decision to let Alexandre go is now under scrutiny.
“I would prefer that he stays. In the context of our competitiveness and our desire to build a truly great team for next season.
"Lyon has a lot of very good players and if Alexandre does not leave it will be another player in very similar conditions.

Given our current performance in terms of transfers I'm apprehensive about how we'd cope across the negotiating table from Aulas.

Noting your posts this week mate, you're not doing much to diminish your 'most negative poster' reputation that you were going to work on !

Haha, true. I was actually coming round to the idea of Van Dijk, and look how that turned out for me!

Well, this is probably the most ludicrous rumour in terms of fee.

Some Chinese club bid 200 mill euros for Ronaldo according to AS...

Are Dortmund about to repeat our mistake ? Sell world class forward and then replace them with Mario Balotelli.

Madness

This was tagged on to a piece about Southampton. Wonder which club it is...

There is at least one other prominent club that knows Liverpool have recently been 'all over' their player but are not minded to do anything about it.

I'm sure we tapped up Downing, Adam, Carroll and a host of other spuds.

Why did their clubs not complain and ruin the transfer?

I'd guess Salah or possibly Chamberlain given his ongoing contract situation and lack of other links to Premier League players. Either way, it's concerning yet another club know we are tapping up. That's nothing to do with a press leak but hints a the manner at which we go about it in general. We sure as hell need to be a lot smarter and distant from these initial negotiations.

Didnt someone fairly prominent in the ITK world suggest King Kenny and back handers were involved in the Carroll signing ?
