But then Brazil aint the team they use to be.. as half of Brazillian born players seem to play for other national sides these days... In fact If those players where playing for Brazil... We probably would of never heard of Lucas..

Anything outside of the normal starting eleven really (with the exception of El Zhar).. Oh and you can add babel & masher to the equation...

rafa's non rotating demoralizing players? it would certainly seem that way.. With comments allegedly being made by players this week...

Spot on. In hindsight, Rafa blew it today by choosing to go without Xabi when we didn't have Gerrard either. Unless Xabi was carrying a slight injury it was a decision pretty much all of us would have called as utterly stupid at the start, and so it proved.
 
lucas is one fucking player, are we that poor a team that if we replace on great player with one poor player it all falls apart? if that is the case then we really ARE a one man team.
 
But we were without two great players today (until Xabi came one) and had another (Torres) finding his way again after injury. Sadly, that's more than our team can cope with, three of our best players missing or misfiring.
 
Lucas was poor today as was Mascherano. As a result we had a very poor CM, which has to be the main reason for our poor performance in general.
Let's hope Gerrard and Alonso are both fit for Marseille and West Ham. I think we will look different with them back.

Torres was NOT misfiring, he was, by some distance out MoM. Xabi was on for 30 mins but he played poorly as well.

Pre-match I mentioned this (basically Masher & Lucas versus the Fulham MF Four), since Riera and Kuyt were always going to stay wide.

Fair point. I'm being harsh I suppose. But, I'm counting not scoring in the misfiring category today because I'm not in a good mood.
 
We've still never ever lost a game that Lucas participated in at some point. Thats his only fucking positive against a long line of negative points.
