Baresi never played as a CB. He was a sweeper as far as I recall. When did Neville play CB?
Do your own research
Can't be arsed. Yours seems to be shite though.
And where players in there mid thirties can still thrivePerhaps Aurier should try his luck in Serie A or La Liga where shorter centre-backs have had more success then.
Mine is shite ?
You've claimed legendary centre back Franco Baresi never played centre back.
So you;re saying that Serge Aurier is not one of the greatest natural footballers to ever play the game?Bit disingenuous to say Shearer started out as a keeper. He didn't. He was put in goal when on trial as a kid, but never actually professed to play there. He was always a striker.
Buffon started playing in goal when he was 12.
Some of the others are some of the greatest natural footballers to ever play the game.
Bit different to converting shit players to new positions in their late 20s.
So again, you're chatting shite.
Carragher's listed as 6'1, and he definitely seemed that tall.

A grand total of about 10 appearances between them is what we can expect from them. Here are some players who will be like new signings, might be varying from decent to kinda ok to absolutely shit to released for free but all undoubtedly much better than Serge fucking Aurier:
Shaqiri
Jones
Brewster
Williams
Grujic
Woodburn
Harry Wilson

I'm amazed that Karius is still in the squad for training - we should savagely bin him off. He's taking the space of either a) a young up and comer who would benefit loads from being in his spot or b) and wise older player who would be a great extra body in training like Lonergan.
If we can't sell him / terminate his contract we should be trying to ship him on loan anywhere. League 2, non league etc.
I don't think any team has played with a sweeper since 1986Yup.
Baresi was a sweeper.
I don't see why people want the club to abuse and humiliate one of its employees? a) Its neither in the club's and definitely not Klopp's style and b) what kind of message would it send to other players.I'm amazed that Karius is still in the squad for training - we should savagely bin him off. What happened to Kelleher anyway?
Jones will break that mark by himself. Brewster is a maybe if he gets Origi’s slot.
The rest won’t.

Karius is not playing, and therefore is not committing those howlers.

In which we sign a previously unknown player who performs well against us in the champions league group stages

When he won the Young African Footballer of the Year in 2017 after breaking into the scene with Zambia’s U-20 national team, Patson Daka’s star has since been on the rise for the past three years.
Although he was banging in goals and assists at the beginning of the 2019/20 season Daka lived under the shadow of Norwegian hitman Erling Haaland who is probably the best U-20 striker currently in world football.
After the departure of Haaland to Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in January the Zambian striker became the main man up front for RB Salzburg and he did not disappoint.
With a total of 24 goals in 31 appearances last season Daka got the attention of some of the world’s biggest clubs who are all chasing his signature.
English Premier League clubs Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United are amongst the clubs vying for his signature with Liverpool the prime favourites to sign the 21-year-old.
Daka made a statement to Jurgen Klopp when he scored a brace last Tuesday in Salzburg’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool which might have been the game that will push Liverpool’s pursuit of the striker.
In France, Marseille, Lille and Lyon are also interested in the striker while in Germany, RB Leipzig are also looking to make him Timo Werner’s replacement after the striker left for Chelsea this winter.
It remains to be discovered where Daka will be playing his football next season, but at only 21 the striker has already proved his ability to play at the highest level of the game.
