[article]RMC Sport report that Ligue 2 side Amiens are in negotiations with Premier League champions Liverpool over the possible signing of 20-year-old left-back Adam Lewis.

The Picardy side want to sign the youngster on an initial loan, but with an option to buy.

Lewis is an English youth international but is yet to earn any professional league minutes.[/article]

Interesting move.

I'd seriously consider signing Suarez for one season. Let Origi go and send Brewster out on loan for a year.

£13M for Grujic and £15M, when prior to the outbreak we were talking about £30m plus. Wouldn't it be better to loan them out again in the hop of getting alot more when normality starts again?
Another question, Klopp made a £29m profit that money is surely still there? The only players I would want the club to sell are those in their last year of contract.

There's no deadline for 'normality' to start again, and I for one do not want to see Ovie Ejaria or Grujic on our payroll in 2022, by which time they would be truly be in their last year of contract and have no value (Worse still, others may have realised by then how useless they are). At times like this, we cannot afford to hold on to players that have no hope of making the 1st Team. It's not fair to us or the players.

We sell at depressed prices, but we also buy at depressed prices. £13M + £15M will be enough to afford us Thiago.

Nope. Not because of the Barca game or anything. He is too old. I know he was never about pace, but he has lost whatever little he had. Origi is far more suited to Klopp football than the 2020 Suarez.

And he is making 450K per week at Barca. Even if Barcelona subsidizes his wages we will have to pay 100-120K. We can get a proper young talent like Sarr at that wage.

And the entire biting and Evra debate will be raised once again. We don't need that PR nowadays.

He'll be the anti-Kaepernick , refusing to take a knee for the Black Lives Matter tokenistic support thingy.

What's happened to the £30m profit from (player sales) last season?

The winning bonuses would collectively be about £5 million, I think. So, if the club made a £30 million profit last year, a tidy proportion if that is still there.

Went on bonuses for winning the league

Wouldnt the club have have made sufficient additional profits from actually winning the league to cover those bonuses? I dont just mean the prize money, but theres probably some bump in pay from our major commercial sponsors from having their logos plastered all over the globe when we win stuff.

[article]Liverpool are reportedly considering making a contract offer to teenage goalkeeper Javier Cendon after he stunned Anfield coaches in the club’s pre-season training camp.

The Reds are in Austria preparing for the defence of their maiden Premier League title.

As part of the pre-season camp, Klopp has had the chance to assess the younger talents in his squad. He brought 19-year-old striker Rhian Brewster along and openly spoke of his admiration for young centre-back Billy Koumetio.

According to Goal, however, another player who has made waves in Austria is former Villarreal goalkeeper Cendon.

The 19-year-old left Villarreal at the end of last season and has joined in first-team training on the trip. The source says the teenager has “impressed” members of staff.

One key coach who has took a particular liking to Cendon, however, is goalkeeping coach John Achterberg.

As such, Goal adds Liverpool are considering offering the goalkeeper a contract. Should the Reds go through with their proposal, it is likely he will join up with the Under-23s squad.

Indeed, Liverpool will continue to allow Cendon to train when the players travel back to Merseyside while they make their decision.[/article]

Now Hanz is duplicitous
As is often the case
The truth is... fairly liquid.

They’ll probably report it as breaking 2 days after the offal has his pictures taken with a fake contract in front of him.

We've signed a young German midfielder from Hoffenheim it seems:

[article]Liverpool have completed the signing of 16-year-old German youth international Melkamu Frauendorf from Hoffenheim.

The ECHO understands a deal was approved by the Football Association and Premier League inside the last two weeks.

And the attacking midfielder has now penned a scholarship agreement at Anfield.

Frauendorf will join up with Marc Bridge-Wilkinson and his under-18 side ahead of the new campaign after being capped by Germany at under-15 and u-16 level.

Hoffenheim will be owed training compensation for their development of the player.

Frauendorf is the third highly-rated teenager to arrive at the academy in recent weeks.

Polish goalkeeper Fabian Mrozek from FC Wroclaw and SMS Lodz midfielder Mateusz Musiałowski both checked in earlier this summer.

Musialowski scored on his u-18 debut at the weekend as a Layton Stewart hat-trick and Tom Hill strike helped Liverpool to a resounding 5-0 victory over Crewe Alexandra.
