Liverpool's Summer Transfers : Speculation & Rumours

I want proven European / UK talent - none of this youngster stuff, we have a title to retain and a CL to regain next season. We are a big time team now, and we need big time players, none of this child recruitment unless of course its for our youth teams. Now tell me - what are the chances we will sign Traore from Wolves ?

What about Jon Obi Mikel - premier League proven and still only 22.

All the talking about Alcantara seems to be coming form the German side, just as the Lewis stuff came (and continues to come) from Norwich. He wants to come to England and Bayern does not want to lose him on a free next season so why not put it out there that City is interested in him.

Frightening that isn't it. Lovren getting that new deal a couple of seasons ago seemed mental to me.

It's more like 300k

Lallana 110k pw
Lovren 100k pw
Clyne 60-70k pw

It was around 15m a year saving. Or an Alexis Sanchez.

I know its youtube clips, but he does look so good. @rurikbird @Kay Age El @Modo (or any one) you guys know anything about him?

[article]Liverpool's asking price for Yasser Larouci is proving too steep for Leeds United.

Foot Afrique reports Leeds are unwilling to pay the reported £2m asking price for Larouci.

The left-back looks set to depart the club this summer in search of game time - with the newly-promoted Yorkshire outfit one of the interested parties in a potential deal.

But Leeds think the current asking price is an overestimation of what Larouci is worth having featured predominantly for the Academy.

It does seem likely the Algerian will depart following the arrival of Kostas Tsimikas earlier this week.

Brentford were also interested in the 19-year-old.[/article]

A Prem player from the English, European, and World Champions almost being given away at £2m and they think its expensive. They're in in the PL. When you're in Harrods, you don't ask for Primark prices.

I think a lot the design for the Kirkby base was based off their training ground or we at least sent people to look at it. Read that somewhere. There certainly a decent club to be on good terms with given the players they're churning out.

Having Houllier there has probably helped cement the relationship. Didn't Klopp say he was on the phone with Houllier at the start of the year?

I posted the bit about the training ground on here cos TAW did a podcast about the relationship between the two clubs.

Blood Red (I think) just did a similar podcast this week but haven't had chance to listen to it yet.

[article]RMC Sport report that Ligue 2 side Amiens are in negotiations with Premier League champions Liverpool over the possible signing of 20-year-old left-back Adam Lewis.

The Picardy side want to sign the youngster on an initial loan, but with an option to buy.

Lewis is an English youth international but is yet to earn any professional league minutes.[/article]

  • From BBC's transfer rumour page......................

Thiago Alcantara has already said goodbye to his Bayern Munich team-mates as the 29-year-old Spanish midfielder eyes a move to Liverpool this summer. (Talksport)

So he must be planning on not talking to any of them during the Champions league semi final and potentially, final.
Who makes the rubbish up?

The full article is from Bild which goes on to say 'said goodbye to his teammates who did not travel to Portugal'.

Obviously the rest of the media clickbaited it.

Villa, Newcastle, Brighton and Palace all interested in signing Brewster on loan. Liverpool ready to take their time over a decision. Expect him to feature in friendly matches, and probably the Community Shield too. [Neil Jones - GOAL]

Actually think Villa would suit him best.

Good sign that there is this level of interest.

At this stage it would probably be better for him to play week in, week out as opposed to sitting on our bench for most of the season.

There is only value with him going to any of those clubs is if he actually plays. Otherwise he may as well take Origi’s place on the bench.

Would say he's best at Brighton. They lack a good striker, they play good football, and there's also Lallana to look after him

Maupay is a good striker, but they could probably play quite well together, but I have no idea about how Potter will have them lined up.
They also have Connolly who will definitely get more chances this season.

He'll just use the George Costanza strategy and turn up for the new season as if nothing had happened.

Neil Jones:
[article]Liverpool will also look to loan Ben Woodburn, with Ipswich and Portsmouth interested in signing the Wales international, who saw a promising spell at Oxford ruined by a broken foot last season. Goal understands Woodburn, 20, also has admirers in the Eredivisie.

Sheyi Ojo will be allowed to leave this summer, either on loan or permanently. The England U21 international had a mixed spell up in Scotland with Rangers, and has interest from several Championship clubs including Reading, Huddersfield and Nottingham Forest.

Goalkeeper Kamil Grabara is also likely to be loaned out, with PAOK and Hamburg just two of the clubs monitoring the situation.

Herbie Kane, meanwhile, is still recovering from surgery on a hamstring injury sustained on loan at Hull last month. The midfielder is expected to be sidelined until the end of September, which may scupper his chances of a move to a Football League club.[/article]
