Liverpool - Wolves

HURRAH, he finally makes sense:

Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson: "It was a bad day at the office, there was plenty of effort but no end product and the players are very disappointed in there. The fans have left angry and that's understandable. However, it would be dangerous to clear a lot of players out on the basis of one game. We wanted our renaissance to start today, but it hasn't happened. Panic would be the wrong thing to do but I'm not the sole arbiter of that."

Yep, it would be very dangerous to clear out a lot of players. How about the fucking impotent manager then?

He ain't walking, no fucking way. He's waiting for his cards, and the suitcase of cash.

I might get cained for saying this but when it was obvious we weren't going to win the game, I didn't want us to equalise as it would have glossed over one of the worst performances of modern times (and that's saying something, given the 18 months we've had).

Dirk Kuyt is no left winger, he's barely a right one. Raul Meireles has been one of our better players this year but he's useless when he's shoe-horned out on the right.

Joe Cole did a passable impression of Mascherano, I think Roy might take that as a positive. Why was he playing in the holding midfield role?

Torres's apathetic approach is seriously undermining this team. He really can't be arsed and regardless of how much he's done for the club since 2007, he needs to have a long hard look at himself, because currently, he is a disgrace.

Did he actually say that?

Yes, it's on the BBC.

I did actually press F5 to make sure.

Cained?? You will be applauded man!!!

I thought Wolves looked full of energy right from the off whereas we did look ring rusty.

We never really got going and couldn't cope with Wolves pressing us high up the pitch.

I thought the game had 0-0 written all over it as not much was being created but fair play to the Wolves player, when the chance came he took it neatly.

Most disappointing was that we were unable to raise our game after the goal and still had trouble retaining possession let alone creating goal scoring opportunities.

I don't know where we go from here as we undoubtedly have enough talent to be doing better. We need some motivation and leadership and it's difficult to see where it will emanate from until Carra returns.

I hate to be pessimistic but we do look like we are going to struggle for the remainder of the season and I have to say that we do not look like we have the mental strength to cope with the pressure of playing six pointers.

The owners have a real dilemma: stick or twist. I think I'd twist at this point and see if a change can liven up our team.

he's on LFC TV and his interview has been a fucking disgrace.

Why change the demeanor he has had for the last five months? Strange thing was he started so well, said the right things, bought Cole (although even that he has put down to someone else) and kept the likes of Gerrard and Torres - and then HIS signings were bought and the football started.

Wolves played 3 days ago. We had 3 weeks off for Christmas.
Fat pudding eating lazy cunts.

The daft twat picked out Kuyt, The Greek and Skrtel as having the necessary fighting spirit and basically said most of the side didn't have those qualities.

Talk about pissing of most of your side.

I haven't been as hard on him as others but listening to him coming out with that shit just left me stunned that he is actually in charge at our club. He needs sacking.

If he had any dignity he would have resigned ages ago, but he's going to hang around for his payoff.

This is a wretched season. Henry needs to get Dalglish in and get things moving forwards.

No disrespect Squigg, as I do like you, but fuck off. Six months ago we were in a transitional period with the yanks who brought in a stop gap manager to ease the sale of the club, and the new yanks still haven't got rid.

We need to start NOW, no more transition, no more part time managers. Come in, assess the players (even if it means not buying in January) and move us forward finally in the long term.

Please.

We are the laughing stock of English football.

They might not be able to get a new manager in until the end of the season. In any case, Hodgson's got to go now. Even if we put Rumplestiltskin in charge.

Ive decided if roy is not sacked by the next match I am going to turn up at the game and refuse to work. Stewards Revolt that will show em.

*Grabs pitchfork

Aaaaarrrrgh, 33 seconds I managed. This is Naomi's laptop, and I can't be held responsible for my actions.

Here we go, I've said it now: Age doesn't matter - Ferguson is about five years older and I'd rather have him. Roy is just incompetent and incapable of managing a 'big' club.

Ross - completely unrelated but I can't remember which thread it was when you qeustioned henry putting his hand in his pockets, and since you're here...

I have no idea about business models and what not, but what's nesv's involvement with adrian gonzalez and carl crawford? Can the BoSox afford these based on their own income or do they need a bit of cash from outside?

Torres for one wants the manager sacked, and made it pretty fucking clear.
[/quote]

Now that you put it like that, I think I'll vote for Torres as MOM

The Red Sox are profitable, and they've increased payroll in line with revenues all the way along - I would presume they did the deals because they can afford them. I don't think NESV have ever had to subsidise the Red Sox - and I don't think they'll do that with us.

Why didnt someone hand out 40.000 white hankershifs (spel) before the game. Could have had good Spanish manager out gesture at the end of the game. Roy would obvs have thought that everyone had the flu, but anyway..
