Hansern

Thinks he owns the place

Team news;

Mascherano and Johnson injury doubts.
Javier trained today, but Glen -Jo only did some work with the psyios.

Both are needed if we're going to win tomorrow.

if we can't win with Degen starting (or Kelly/Darby), then we've fallen a long long way ...
I wouldn't want to see Degen starting if he was the last player we had in the squad.

Ridiculous.
What (admittedly very) little I have seen of Degen he has looked good.

Degan hasn't looked too bad in fairness, but he's still a massive fuck up of a transfer.

???

We must beat these fucking imbeciles and by 2 or 3 goals too if we want to gain some momentum. I fear it may be too late for 4th place already....

We really really really need a win tomorrow.

COME ON YOU REDS

No need to worry Nessie.

Rafa today:

"I can guarantee we will finish in the top four".

That Rafa guarantee is as good as when teams say they're to good to go down.

You're as good as your league position tells you, and right now we're a 7th place team.

After the Fulham game, Degen showed what kind of player he is, I'd rather play Kelly tbh.

Hardly *massive* fuck up...maybe a little

I am glad you share his optimism mate, I unfortunately don't. I seriously doubt we can as we are fast approaching the halfway point in the season with only 24 points on the board.

I just choose to look at it this way mate: In two games time we could be up to 4th with 20 left to play. City v Spurs tomorrow as well

I'll be up in a plane unable to watch this. Given what I've sat through recently, sods law means this will be a comfortable win. Or my plane crashes.

Either way, it's a win for the rest of you.

Unless your plane crashes onto the Anfield pitch in the 90th minute killing Torres, Gerrard and Reina instantly and throwing you clear for a soft landing on the big soft heads in the 305.

--------------Reina--------------
Carra-Skrtel--Agger--Aurelio
------------Masher--------------
--------Gerrard-Aquilani-------
---Kuyt-----Torres-----Yossi--

Why that back four Mark?
...assuming Glen Jo is out. Otherwise Glen Jo at right back and Carra/Agger at centre back.

That team looks good apart from the), which should be Magic

Is there anyone who can play on the left instead of Casper? He was abysmal against Arsenal and usually is playing there

Wouldn't mind seeing Kelly again but not sure if he's fit (Degen??).

Agree about Yossi, but it's him or Riera or Babel who are equally shite in that role and they are actually meant to play there.

------------------Reina

Degen----Carra----Agger----Aurelio

Yossi---Mascher---Gerrard---Aquilani

-----------Kuyt---Torres

Why not try a traditional 442.
We have been shit for so long that any change would have to be an improvement.
We have no real left winger with Riera out, but Im sure Aquilani or Gerrard could do a good job.
Id rather eat my own poop than watch Babel play for us again.

Is Kelly fucking fit yet or what? I really want to see him play again - he was ace against Lyon.

Mascher would be a loss, but Wigan at home is not a game we should absolutely need him for - plus it means Rafa would *have* to start Aquilani.

I know lots of you are predicting a big win, and it's certainly possible if Gerrard and/or Torres catch fire. But I just have a bad feeling that we haven't hit bottom yet, and that this will end up as another high-scoring draw, a bit like the Birmingham match. Hope I'm wrong.

I doubt my plane will be carrying enough fuel to make it over the Atlantic.

Lucas survives in your account I presume?
